  • That was a Marvel-lous effort from Asgard... Goes wide though after a deflection, would have been a cinematic finish
The ref gives @ForeverAddickted a quiet talking to ...
Got to question the refereeing on this thread I really do

Especially given @Redvalleyeast's effort being ignored

Ramsay hasn't seemed in tune with everyone else today. Not reading things well, I think he could have got to that Coventry ball if he'd set off a bit quicker. Possibly would have helped to not have played him RCB for almost the entire preseason but plenty of time

The yawn on 23 minutes has now progressed to complete boredom. This is absolutely shit.

Talk about one trick pony's. Punt it down the wings and hope one of the wing backs gets to it. Has Edwards crossed the halfway line yet?
Well yeah he took a long throw and a corner so had to cross it then...
  • We look so pedestrian in midfield.
Are we playing like that to give Wigan a false sense of security

Yeah, we're playing shit on purpose 😒

  • HT 0-0, tough match, with openings for both sides, we are creating chances, but still a little slow in support from Midfield in attacking mode, second half to come but ok so far, but could see changes second half...

If Edwards is this deep we need a lot more from Ramsay

I missed that at the time (spotted the first offence) and VAR isn't in operation in Division Three.

Dissent at the officials. FA lucky to still be on the pitch

First half of the season. Completely comfortable on the whole and had one or two chances of our own to keep Wigan honest.

If this is our strategy for away games this season, we do need to be a bit more clinical when we do get chances at the other end.

Defense looks improved from last season but it does look on occasion like we're just playing 5 at the back rather than having wing backs.

I think, in summary, we were quite lucky to score nil in that half.

Good news is our defence looks more solid. Other than that not much to report. We have been fairly cautious, especially down the left.

So who’s going to be first in writing off this season?

I’ll tell you what, Sam Tickle looks vulnerable to a light touch on him.

The only good thing about that half was our kit. 👌

Probably would have taken 0-0 at half time mind.

The biggest difference between this Charlton side from last season is that we look better organised.
Even when Wigan put us under pressure we kept our shape and never made any silly mistakes.
    Long may it last
  • Well based on that we will be hard to beat this year and few sides are going to outmuscle us. And we look much stronger defensively.

Against that we look toothless up front and the players will be knackered by Christmas given all the running and pressing they are doing.

Apart from that all is good!
