Tom King their third choice could be an option. Started out at Millwall before being a regular for Newport and Northampton. Welsh international too.
Also scored for Newport with a goal kick.0 -

Dan Bentley could be an option but I would think he could get a championship club still , I will have to check what Wolves's situation is with homegrown players as they might keep him for similar reasons.1 -
I remember Marosi letting in a dodgy goal in the play-offs vs Donny, and he's never really impressed me. Thought he was very good away at Shrewsbury last season, as was Isted. Two goalkeepers man of the match both teams.
I rate him higher than AMB though tbh, if I had the choice between Marosi and AMB it's a no-brainer. Marosi is more experienced and has a promotion under his belt. Was in the team of the year when Coventry went up.
A very meh signing, would like to think we could do better.2 -

Does he excite me, no, would he be my choice for number 1, no.Is he a better number 2 than AMB - certainly.3 -

Honestly I'd rather we developed Ash and waited for another option even if that meant working on something longer term until Jan personally13

Gawd, let’s see what happens instead of this massive overreaction for someone having a trial game

Don't see an issue with Marosi signing as a back up. I personally quite like the look of Mannion, so would rather the money is spent on an Attacking Midfielder.

Mannion hasn't done anything wrong.....yet.....he seems a big lad as well compared to Isted and AMB.....I would like to see him given a longer chance at #1 TBH5

On Dixon, I am told the paperwork is now done, and the announce of the official transfer will be this week.
There is also another midfielder that is very close.74 -

Assume the other midfielder being mentioned is John Fleck?1

Suspect if we have another midfielder very close then news on Fraser or Terry Taylor won't be far away.9

If he did sign who would he replace in midfield4 -
Fleck is a very good player but his recent injury record is a concern. His uncle was once very apologetic to my Dad at a reserve game at Welling. Robert had sworn a few times and my Dad jokingly shouted out ‘oi, mind your language’. Fleck then came over and apologised. Seemed a nice guy.5

I think the problem we might have run into having both Coventry and Taylor is that they both do the same job, and they both do in very similar ways.
If Coventry is ahead of Taylor in the pecking order, it might make sense to move Taylor on and bring in someone who does the same job but is of a different mold than Coventry.Horses for courses situation between Coventry and Fleck seems very realistic to me.0 -

If Taylor moves on he will be like a new signing ( for someone else ).20
-
From what I have seen one significant difference between Coventry and Taylor is that Taylor takes a better set piece.5

Wasn't there a Hungarian midfielder linked recently? Seemed expensive but if we think some Gomez/Lookman money is coming our way...
Is the Canadian kid still with us?0 -

If Taylor leaves then I’d expect a similar holding midfielder replacement to come in. Fleck isn’t a holding midfielder, he’d be coming in to compete with Docherty, Berry and Anderson I think
If we wanted a different mould then I’d want a big physical type, as that’s what we are lacking at the moment7 -
Millwall about to sign Femi Azeez apparently. Would love him to play for us. Still some very good players at Reading.0
