It's working for them, as Bolton also found out last week.
They may not keep up their good start, but I wouldn't underestimate them.

Got to say BBC unbalanced reporting hardly comes as a shock. Look at the air time they give or gave Nigel Farage when he wasn't even an elected representative, they simply fall into bad journalism, they've reached a level that the Sun newspaper would be proud of and why would football be any different. As for Wrexham, lets see what happens when the bills have to be paid and they are not winning.0

They've been through some shit, good luck to them, as long as it's not at our expense.11

Mentioned lots but seem to be ignored.
Parky is not good at dealing with agents, has in fact pi33ed a lot off. If they underperform he is going to be under pressure as the lack of signings is purely down to him. They have a budget to rival Brum...

I personally think Wrexham will finish above us
It's the Glickstein's and Ken Kraggs that turn my head ESM!0 -

They still have the majority of the same team that got promoted and with the season already well under way all these big summer signings haven’t materialised like they never last season when they got promoted.Lots of transfer talk very little action ( again ).
While they may give players decent contracts they are mainly moving in the freebie market.
While Reynolds may have invested heavily behind the scenes he certainly isn’t flashing the cheque book on signings.2 -
Maybe they need to sign a European Player of the Year like we did.1

Unless you support Chester or one of the other Welsh teams I don’t get the dislike of what’s happened in Wrexham. I’ve watched the tv show and while bits of it are a bit cringey, I think they have genuinely bought into the place (and yes I know they are actors). I know the budget they had in tiers 4 and 5 was a joke, but I would have bitten your hand off to have owners like that over what we have had in the last decade or so. I would still like them to only have a mundane season with little drama. I reserve the right to change my mind if Mullins punches one in at the end of April to deny us promotion

My take is as you would expect. The Beeb had to dumb down to appease the Tories who were threatening to stop state funding if they didn't come more into line with their thinking.2 -

Charltons money men have backed NJ more than Reynolds has Parkinson that’s for sure.

Hard to tell these days with undisclosed fees etc, but I strongly suspect the fee for May paid for Ahadme & Godden, Mannion, Docherty and Berry were free, Campbell a loan. So fee wise it's maybe Mitchell and Edwards that are net fees.
Wrexham haven't made any money in sales, so all their signings for fees are net losses.
Wages I would suspect you're right.0 -

I have been told by people within the game who are in contact regularly with Wrexham. It was easy to buy their way into l1 but they no longer have the appeal that they did when they were non league. They can’t offer players from 2 leagues above better money anymore.Does a midfield of Elliot Lee and George Dobson worry you?
their defence looks week!3 days left of the window and they haven’t had a great one so far4 -

I would (obviously) have preferred to have kept Dobson given it's a squad game these days, but Docherty promises to be an improvement, and Coventry has been good so far this season.0 -

up until he left I would rather we kept him but if he became available now, not sure if I’m honest1 -
Feel like there’s so much nonsense being posted on here from people who haven’t got the faintest idea about the club or the owners. How many have watched an episode of Welcome to Wrexham? Give it a go and you might have a few questions answered.
Their fans deserve a bit of success which is what they’re getting - I think the spending power runs out by the time they get into the Championship. They have good League One players and a good League One manager but they’ll have to start replacing them all if they get promoted in the next 2-3 years and that’s where I think their story stalls, unless they get further serious investment.4 -

Well, I've had a response to my complaint.
Thank you for taking the time to contact us regarding the League One section of the BBC Sport website.
We aim to include a very wide and diverse range of articles across our dedicated league sections, but space is limited meaning we cannot include everything. We have to try and select what are felt to be the most newsworthy and current items, but we appreciate this is subjective rather than an exact science.
We'd assure you, that BBC Sport is committed to reporting accurately and fairly. It's not always possible however, to reference everything within an individual article.
We very much value your feedback. Complaints are sent to senior management and we’ve included your points in our overnight reports. These reports are among the most widely read sources of feedback in the BBC. This ensures that your concerns have been seen by the right people quickly, and helps to inform decisions about current and future content.
If you’d like to understand how your complaint is handled at the BBC, you might find it helpful to watch this short film https://www.bbc.co.uk/contact/complaints. It explains the BBC’s process for responding to complaints and how we share the feedback we receive.
In other words, sod off we'll continue to stick up dross about Wrexham, you just carry on paying your licence fee.
Edited to add: Or maybe not. Perhaps they've listened and realised they were going overboard. Nothing at all about Wrexham on the front page of the League One section apart from the holding page for today's game.1 -
