    Seriously?

    What's that all about?
What was it about my post that prompted you to "Laugh Out Loud"?

Scoring from six inches out doesn't count

Very on-brand to score a goal it would be physically impossible to miss.
  • Best striker we’ve had since Stockley

Overall performance was decent, thought he linked up play a bit more as well. Slowly but surely having our pants pulled back up?

Alfie May didn’t score today… checkmate atheists
  • Not a screamer but he's also been criticised for not having the striker's instinct of knowing where to be at the right time. Can't do much better than more or less on the goal line to turn one in
  • Needed that for his confidence!
Hopefully he’ll go one to bag a few more in the coming 2 weeks

  • Glad he got off the mark, fingers crossed it takes a bit of pressure off.

I didn’t even know it was his goal til I saw this. LJ celebrated and most people around me thought it was his goal.

Ahadme’s defensive contribution very important today too. I think we all now want him to kick on from today, fingers crossed.
  • Such a shame that Coventry wasnt able to convert that chance in the first half which went inches wide

Would have been an excellent assist from Ahadme
  • Glad he scored his first goal for us. There was also a really nice piece of control from a long ball forward shortly before Coventry put his shot just wide!

Not sure if this is a criticism or not but he got there, what more can anyone want?

I'm glad he scored. Just find it funny that the goal that did break his duck was one that required him to just stand there.

Shit goal. Not sure how much even he knew about it.... but it still counts and he was at least in the right place to hit/be hit and nudge it over the line.

He's been streaky in the past so fingers crossed that this sets him off on a bit of a run of goals.

  • Whatever his short comings, you can’t fault his effort and there’s been no hiding from home. Glad he’s off the mark, hopefully gives him a boost a start to see a bit more from him. The have been flashes of what he might offer so I haven’t given up completely yet.
  • Nothing wrong with a goal from a yard out.

If anything, they are the best goals

If you have created a situation where your striker is a yard out, onside and free to head/kick/shoulder the ball into the net then you've done great.

Just watch how many "tap ins" Man City score. It's because they move the ball and the oppo players so well.

Headers, pens, two yards or thirty, they all count.

PS who is this Yahyai SSN are giving the goal.

1 in 6.  Hopefully number 2 follows soon and we keep winning .  And that a fully fit Leaburn takes his place soon .

Much better today actually thought he was playing well before the goal putting himself about holding the ball up but also did very well defensively heading clear from corners. Deserved his goal and can hopefully kick on now.

And still got 5/10 from at least one person in the player marks.
  • Delighted for the Gas Man.
