It's not like they're smashing everyone and topping the stats tables. They've had a few close calls. On paper, yeah, they're better than L1 but I think that comment is classless - but very fitting for their club and fans at the moment.
They currently top the stats for games won, most points, goals scored, goal difference and fewest games lost.

    What other stats really count?
Don't make me say it... ;)

The Blues captain told BBC Radio WM: “We’re League One but I don’t think there are any players in this team who are League One players.

“All of them are at a higher level. In six months time we’ll be a Championship team and a different animal.

“We stay humble and keep our feet on the ground and we don’t want to choke on it. But the reality is we’re too good for League One.”

  • The comment was tempting fate, but in reality even if he hadn't said it, everyone looks at their ludicrous spending and sees them as the team to beat in this division .

    Have it Krissy
  • It's not the most classy statement but he isn't wrong.
He is. Has Alfie May ever played in the championship? A very good l1 player but this is the highest level he has played

Looks like he could be in trouble. Revenge after all these years for one of our fans accidentally kicking him in the balls?

Yeah as a professional player you absolutely cannot be doing that. Not sure if the fan said anything maybe but even so its not a good look for Bielik.

Yeah, because the police don't have anything better to do than investigate that!

They've been basically non-existent for decades now, though I am surprised Sting and his mates have started tackling crime.
  • Bielik should have kept away but there are so many fans nowadays who think they can do/say whatever they want and then cry foul when players react.

That is all a bit of nothingness and could be sorted by a quick handshake and apology after the game. Let's hope it isn't made into a bigger deal than it needs to be
  • I’ve watched this back a few times and no question Bielik is wrong for the way he handled that but I agree with @Notts_Addick’s comment above. The young lad knew what he was doing.. Not the first time something like this has happened at Fratton Park either, didn’t a Pompey fan throw a punch at a Sunderland player in the play-off semi final in 2019?

But anyway, let’s not distract ourselves from Bobby Madley’s performance yesterday.. useless prick.
  • Fine him, suspend him etc but a police investigation seems a bit over the top. The police surely have better things to be doing.

Regardless of what was said though, you absolutely cannot react like that especially as it was a kid. Imagine doing that at Millwall, it would probably cause a riot.

I can only remember one incident where a player has attacked a fan before. He went up in my estimation that day.  ;)

On this day 30 years ago Eric Cantona stunned the football world by launching a karate kick at a Crystal Palace fan during a match

I notice in the article penultimate paragraph Charlton have been erased from his history!

Is anything happening with this Bielik incident?
He was playing for Cardiff today so obviously nothing yet.
He surely has to get a ban though, right?

Suspect they'll make a decision a decision during the international break.
