That was a non-league 2-2 game of football.
Of all the ‘embarrassing’ things the club have done this week, bringing on Hylton was the worst. Built like a pub darts player.20 -
Must have watched a different game. Thought Wrexham were much better. Three passes and they were in our final third whereas they made us work hard to get into theirs. There was no belief in the crowd when the extra time was announced because we were so bad going forwards. We've done well to get a point but the same old questions remain.

Our defence looks terrible and I barely noticed certain players on the pitch. Anderson and Docherty almost invisible. Bringing on Hylton as a substitute has to be the low point of the season.
Very little composure and quality on show. TC at least ran at them.
Delighted we didn't lose.8 -

A penalty at the death glossing over another sub par effort. 1 win in 7, 11th in the league, and the pack is starting to pull away from us.
a point was a fair in my view7 -
Generally the view on the Wrexham forum is that it was a penalty. We outdid them on shots, but their passing was slicker than ours.1

NJ is looking all mouth and no trousers as my old grandad used to say. It may turn around of course and i pray it does, every Saturday.
A few injuries and we are fucked, although a full NJ squad wasn't pulling up trees as it was.
I am one step ahead of Shooters, I lost the faith about five years ago. I spoke to an old mate for the first time in years today. He knows me as a dyed in the wool Addick, and when we got around to football, I had nothing to say to him. We are shit, have been for years, and the crying shame is we are such a fantastic football club.22 -
Anyone want to report on how quickly all the tourists deflated when they realised in the 97th minute they weren’t going to see a win?0

53 years later and the ghost of Barry Endean arrives in the shape of Hylton.16

Maybe I'm being harsh but I don't think we deserved not to lose as people are saying? Thought Wrexham looked far more dangerous with their chances, and looked a lot less likely to concede. Probably the team with the best shape so far to visit the Valley this season, and you can tell they're a team who have played a lot of games together. Truthfully, I underestimated them, and I think they'll probably end up on the top6.
As for us, very poor I thought. Lack of creativity, lack of drive, none of our players can go past a man (except TC and maybe Miles) and TC is played in the wrong position. No creative spark in the middle, our defenders are poor except Mitchell imho, we badly miss Ramsay and Jones.
Overall a really disappointing performance and a fortunate penalty has papered over the cracks. These so called billionaire owners need to spend some cash in January, or we will certainly be a league1 team again next season. I assume they'll have their excuses ready though that the January window is a sellers market and we won't bring in the quality we need.
2 wins in our last 10, woeful.22 -
Time for Nathan Jones to abandon his worn-out Luton Top Trumps deck and build a team of younger and hungrier players. How is Danny Hylton getting onto the pitch ahead of Thierry Small? Embarassing business.11

Nathan Jones needs to stop tinkering with the midfield. Play a more settled line-up then they might start to know where everyone is and possibly become a little more creative.

Finally that's my first time in a while watching CharltonTV and I have to say, I don't understand how some of you can listen to Steve Brown, absolutely unbearable at times, and completely dismissive of his co-commentator from time to time. They need to bring back Greg to go with Terry.
Rather than talking about the game in play, he finds himself far too many times talking about what a player should have done or how he thinks something should have happened. Meanwhile there's something else going on?
Probably didn't help I've got a thumping headache, but genuinely very hard to listen to, my condolences to regular CharltonTV watchers.4 -

Said it a few times now, I would like to know what the players really think of him.
Not a good sign when the Captain gets subbed and dropped1 -
It's been good to watch, exciting games, late goals, etc but we don't win enough and we're 11th
Just win games.8 -

As it stands he's just a latter day Hasselbaink or Connor Wickham. A fat bloke looking for one last payday.0 -
Think the negativity is bit misplaced. It wasn't great but we played against a team who are gelled and know how they need to play. This is Jones first full season and it shows. This was a club who dickhead after dickhead manager was looking for a payday. Genuinely think we aren't far from clicking.
Unfortunately for some, things take time. I'd love a Charlton team to smash out but it doesn't always work that way. We need to understand we will get there. 6 points against the top 10 is an okay return. We do need a league win soon though ill concede.
Just have patience, we will get there.16 -

Still when Wrexham scored at least half the home stand didn't jump up celebrating.0 -
This idea that there's still a long way to go; Points dropped are points dropped, regardless of where in the season we are.
Also can't understand it when you hear "happy to get a point from that one", you can maybe say that when you've got a reasonable idea of where the season is taking you, but not after 7 odd games in, when there's question marks all over the pitch.2 -
I'm glad we didn't lose! This place would've been in more of a meltdown than it is now! Yes, we weren't great, but I didn't think Wrexham were either! It was a defo penalty as well.
We are missing our two best defenders in the squad, Jones & Ramsey, and last season we would've lost that game and the one against Stockport.
Now we have fight and determination, summed up by Mitchell at the end giving it large to Mclean! Yes, we're nowhere near the finished article, we've also got our super-sub cheat code, Chuks out as well!
We're 3 points off the playoffs, we've got excellent players to come back and, hopefully, the board will back NJ in January, with a playmaker in midfield! Finally I'm looking forward to seeing Dixon when he's fully up to speed, he could be a game changer!
I'm nowwhere near as down as some and still bloody hopeful that this will click!47 -

Will take the point and say its a fair result, first half we were better, second half they were, but really, two very similar very average looking League one teams.
For all the glitz and glamour, really didnt think much of Wrexham, organised, solid and unspectacular, maybe at home they're different I dunno, but their game plan seems to be "give it to McClean" but we let it work as every time they played it out wide to him, they found him.
Right back to us, rinse and repeat really, we hustle and bustle but lack quality where it matters failing to create anything of any real worth, although still think we'd look better with the right combination of players starting. Anderson and A Campbell still dont offer much, Docherty a bit more playing deeper, but, we look better going forwards with TT in the side... TC is a wideman so just let him play there.
Coventry - made quite a few important interceptions
Mitchell - Loved the passion and giving it to the Wrexham players, proper captain material.
Jones still doesnt seem to know/ want to play what may be our best starting 11 and the formation to play them in.
Im just glad we didnt lose to Hollywood and co. and have to suffer 15 year old Matti from Finland giving it large.2 -

If the promotion chasing pack are not beating us, then we've just got to hang in there until we sort ourselves out.
Like Lee Bowyer's promotion winning team in 2019.

I found myself with a bunch of Belgian addicks at half time. They’d come over for this game (and partly the West Ham vs Man United fixture), and we’re as enthusiastic as anyone else in the stadium. It was a joy to be forced to down three pints in front of foreign supporters, but I have to admit it was embarrassing to admit this is how Charlton Athletic played.
They couldn’t believe we weren’t part time, the lack of quality on display was palpable.2
