Thought Dobson looked good second half, picked up every second ball and turned them into attack multiple times. Mad what options in front of you can do to a midfielder.

Felt his passing range was always underrated on here, his vision sometimes is sublime, he was the catalyst for their second goal.

‘Who’s Dobson’ was the cry after Docherty put a reasonable performance in against Bolton. Sometimes I think we don’t deserve some players.

Hint of offside for the Wrexham goal - have to say it felt like a very very close decision watching the stream

Did it just come of Mitchell tho? Thought it was a great tackle

Dobson or Coventry? No contest. Does Coventry ever do anything except pass side or back? Dobson's sublime pass led to their goal.

Thought he got a block on a Mullin shot rather than a clean tackle but you could be right

I thought Coventry had a decent second half. First half his touch was atrocious.

    Still Dobbo all day tho.

our lack of width does our midfielders no favours at all. It’s so congested, Jones just wants to win the battle rather than actually create space and play football.

Last minute equaliser papers over the cracks of an awful performance, particularly 2nd half. Turgid and weak all over the pitch.
Spot on. Promotion? Nope. Mid table at very best.

It's all about winning. Full stop. Not happening.

Not by Curbs, though, he'd say it every 3-4 weeks, interspersed (this time last year) with a remark about a new contract. But what's he ever achieved in the game, compared with Andy Scott?
  • Glad to get a point.  Wrexham are not a great L1 team but have enough about them to be there or thereabouts at the end of the season.  I thought they were the better team but didn't ultimately create a lot.

A draw v them and Barnsley and a win v Birmingham are ok results.  Should have beat Stockport and the run before was diabolical (Stevenage and Rovers).

I thought the change at half time affected us poorly. I think our team is too workmanlike and mainly big athletes.  That was blindingly obvious in the summer though.

This season seems likely to be one of failure and tedious football, it's not a great combo.  Hopefully we find a way to improve.

We need to bin Hylton, Potts and the dreadful A Campbell in January though, utter waste of wages the lot of them.

This is at the heart of our current situation for me. Jones identified (quite rightly) that a lack of physicality was a weakness when he arrived but he's gone too far the other way.

In terms of fitness and physical exercise this is the best the squad has been since Bowyer at least but its a case of win the ball... and then what? Where is the quality, where is the composure, where are those clever passes or inventive tricks to open up space and play football?

When the season started we could bully and grind teams down but we've lost the "fear factor" - other teams know they can get through by playing on in the face of the press as they won't actually be in much peril if they do lose the ball.

A point snatched from the jaws of defeat but.no thanks to our current incumbent in charge this afternoon who played more formations when it was not required

A stop start first half due to unforeseen circumstances but no reason to panic until he decides to go with the Oppositions set up at the start of the second half.

Then the substitutions started. Allan Campbell why?

No suprirse they went a goal up and until our late penalty

Felt for the players today when they were moved more around like an episode of Runaround with Mike Reid
  • Just watched the highlight gets clip. Maybe harsh but couldn't Mannion have done better for both goals.  Both near post.
  • I’m sorry but NJ f’d up the tatics at half time. Playing two up front left is completely open in midfield and we were overwhelmed. Lucky to get away with a point. We were completely on par with them first half, so why change it?
  • Actually thought we looked the better side at 1-1, but completely collapsed after their goal. Lucky to get the penalty but very well taken and draw probably a fair result.

Thought Dobson looked very good lol

I'm starting to lose faith now. Hylton and A.Campbell (again) .... we must have better in the under 16s
  • I thought it was reasonable considering the dullfests we’ve had served up this season .
League One, Brum apart, is proper dogshit and a low ball 70+ points will have a chance of the play offs as the drossness take points of each other .
biggest let down of the day was Charlton tv talking about the crossbar challenge and not moving the camera to show it , luckily the mrs sent me some footage of it and it’s the best one yet , lovely strike on to the bar .
TC will get the assists and some goals soon but yes his current tally is pathetic but he won the free kick that led to the ball in to the box that won us a penalty and with the sea of crabs around him at least he looks to go front foot .
The teardrops on here if that penalty was given against us would flood the Thames .
i think we have some half decent players with some shit as well but the league is shit so with some luck with injuries and NJ getting his act together play offs are a possibility

fuck league one it’s just shit
  • Mannion is soooo ordinary we need a better keeper  to get promoted

Couldn't understand our front 2/4 trying to press their defenders when they had easy options out wide in so much space. They could play a simple pass and all of a sudden we're disjointed and not in a compact shape. It was so easy for them and it didn't improve when Jones changed it. We're not pressing as a unit anymore.

  • Gary Neville came to The Valley looking for a cure for his insomnia

  • If we had VAR, the penalty decision would have been upheld.
What would var have made of their 2nd. Looked off side to me?

Time for Nathan Jones to abandon his worn-out Luton Top Trumps deck and build a team of younger and hungrier players. How is Danny Hylton getting onto the pitch ahead of Thierry Small? Embarassing business.

Fuck that it's Wrexham, give em the 6 points that they deserve
