It might be my imagination, but I think it doesn’t yet have the firmness that makes the ball bounce ‘normally’. On a few occasions so far the surface has seemed to me to be a bit ‘puddingy’.
What studs are you wearing. ?
‘Claws’ surely given the love of cats ? 😉😆🙂

Held up well to the downpour today
  • Crossbar challenge, bouncing the ball on the perimeter and bouncing the ball on the pitch, the latter consistently bouncing higher. That is some playing surface.

I thought it ripped up a bit more than I expected last week, what’s the make up 90% grass 10% Astro or whatever it is ?
You can already see the marks where they do the same routines for pre-match warm-up.

And either tanks traps are being laid to stop Russian invaders or the Curbs stand Harvey Gardens turnstiles are being replaced/repaired.

    Two replacement midfielders?

I hoped you grabbed an old turnstile for the museum.

It did cross my mind but I think they were going back in once the electrics/IT are sorted
  • The card readers for that entrance definitely needed a bit of work, with a couple out of order. Penny pinching too, that when the system was installed, not all of the readers had turnstiles installed.

Told ITRM, the club's IT partners are working on it.

Penny pinching indeed by Tony Keohane

I hope that when the Curbs stand hand dryers are replaced, one of them graces the museum in working order, so our grandchildren can marvel at our pathetic they were

    Two replacement midfielders?
Those turnstiles would move quicker than Doc and Campbell

Yeh sorry, just saw they were red and turned in infinate circles...but then obviously forgot they can only go forward not back, the complete opposite of our shower of a midfield!

Another Charlton error, it's Movember you're meant to grow a tash.
  • The pitch does not look very ‘state of the art’ tonight.

How would it be looking if we hadn't given it a revamp though. Still probably adequate for the pub team currently playing on it.
  • And why the heavy watering before and and half time every game ?
