It’s a fucking mystery to me how a team with some proven talented players can put a 45 mins of football that bad ! Honestly that was like watching a Sunday league game.

Hopefully we get a better 2nd half if not I can see them winning 1-0 with their only shot on goal.

Depressing dross totally anti football. Can’t fault the effort but they must be being drilled to play this way surely ?
  • Dire shite.
NJ needs to put a rocket up some arses.
Or some arses need to put a rocket up NJ.

TC on for Ahadme please. Leaburn needs a bit of a pep talk, trying to be as poor as Ahadme tonight. If the lad wants a top career he has to perform against opponents like these.
  • Oh and after that, if anyone still thinks we can't be drawn into a relegation scrap they need to think again.
I mean there were plenty on here after we drew with Lincoln last season saying we wouldnt win again, and that we were relegated with two months still to play.

Comments like "relegation battle" are far too early to talk about at this stage of a season

What's actually really depressing is the best football i can remember of recent times was under Bowyer. I actually cannot think of one side since that 18/19 - 19/20 season that i have enjoyed watching on a regular basis. It's just awful football, nothing exciting about it remotely.

Based solely on that first half, I think it wouldn't be unfair to suggest this is the worst Charlton team ever.
No no... Remember losing here 4-2 with Gunter providing Burton two assists

We had Pratley at CB, Ben Watson in midfield and Bogle up front

Burton look by far the worst team in the league and dead certs for relegation. This should be a straightforward win but seems more like an fa cup game against minnows where we struggle and scrape a 0-0.
    Depressing.

agreed it’s far too early to be worrying about relegation but it isn’t to early to start thinking we ain’t getting promoted!

Why? I mean seriously? Ahadme has been our best player, created three chances for others and you want to replace him?

Gonna call it 1-0 Mitchell winner from a corner
  • Whatever the result this is the absolute pits.
Turgid dross doesn't even begin  to cover it.
    Hackney Marsh reincarnated.

I don't beleive that for a second. We've signed some right dross yet again imo.

As always, If the league was decided on paper, we would be promoted in February!

Him and Coventry would be a decent midfield

The front three are, in the main central strikers. Only Leaburn has some inclination to pull his marker out wide. One of those front three should have pace and the willingness to run the channels, it isn't there at the moment. Tyreece Campbell for Ahadme please and that's not say Ahadme is bad, it's just that everything is central, like all season, no width.

We all know what will happen in the second half. They will get more into the game and we will score for them with an OG

No width and yet again no discernible game plan or tactics. No clear cut chances created (again). How bad does Anderson have to be before he is left out? Ahadme getting unfair stick, he has been better than Leaburn.

TBH I can't be bothered to keep analysing it. We are just crap and being setup with with boring, stale formations.

Lets not dress it up, Burton are absolutely awful and we still don't look like scoring.
  • This is so dire, i've found myself agreeing with Brownie...🤦‍♂️

    TC for Ahadme
    Anyone for Anderson.

The saving grace is that we dont generally score in the 1st half so 0-0 at HT is a pretty decent score.

We are plainly the better team & (I dont usually saw this) I really cant see them scoring. Burton have hardly had an attack - 2 shots with the 2nd being the closest  & that was a foot over the bar.

I think we'll score a couple in the 2nd half. If we lose we deserve to get relegated.

Oh mate I admire the optimism you always show but we are so awful that unless something changes hugely we can easily drop ever closer to the bottom 4.

That was a shocking 1st half of Football.

Burton will be playing League 2 football next season and Charlton are looking like a lower 3rd tier team.

We have 3 Central strikers on the field so Godden had to drift wide.

I want to say it can't get worse but...
  • Can see very little difference between the team currently bottom & us. That tells you everything you need to know unfortunately. I won’t be surprised to see us lose this 1-0 & that’s just very sad. I’m 71 in January & will I see us get out of this division before I join the choir invisible ? I have my doubts !
  • There is such a lack of basic skill all over the pitch, guys on a sunday morning on Blackheath have better first touches than what we are seeing here.Just what do they do in training.
  • Second half starts, no changes...so far...

Plus Bowyer wasn’t afraid to up set or talk back to Roland👍

I mean we win tonight and we're closer to the Play-Offs again than the relegation spots... I'm not discounting relegation via. blind optimism... I just think that November is far too early to be thinking about where we finish the season.
