  • Tend to have the same thing when we have chippy. Fish cake, saveloy and chips…..with brown sauce!
  • Looks really good but MUSHY PEAS :)
  • Thanks for the feedback. I’ve evaluated the situation and come to the considered conclusion that as I’m not a pigeon tickling, skittle fondling norverna, the mushy peas can stay well away. Filthy Slanderers.
I mean, we let them live down here and put up with them nicking our jobs, fornicating with our women, moaning about our tropical climate, complaining they can't get a decent pint of mild, but there's no way we should have to put up with that FILTH. Got to draw the line somewhere.
  • Ours is between Camelford and Port Issac
Love that part of the world. Had some great cottage holidays there. St Breward, St Tudy, Chaple Amble, Trebarwith Strand, Port Quin, St Endellion to name just a few. Favourite beach is Polzeath.
  • In the same way that baked beans and hash browns should play no part in a full English, curry sauce should be nowhere near fish and chips.

Fish a bit of a mingey portion and as much as I like curry sauce, you’ve got to have mushy peas with fish ya heathen.
    Aha, it was curry sauce.
  • Had rock and chips last night £12 Big Catch Beckenham. Light crispy batter very nice.

Why no baked beans, that’s a nailed on constituent of any full English…..down our way?

Curry sauce with fish and chips…. So disappointed in you right now Mr Bartram.
I was going to comment but thought better of it. Wrong on every level if you live south of Birmingham
  • Away this weekend at a  beach chalet near Cromer. Now usually F n C at the seaside cant be beaten but had some last night from shop very nearby and was very disappointed.  Chips tiny and over cooked, and yes the cod was cooked fresh but it was tasteless. Deffo had better at home.
  • The Elite fish bar in Welling has been doing a promotional medium cod and chips for £6 down from £11 for a while now.

The Chinese restaurant and take-away at the Standard (the Sun Ya?) used to have a sign that said no chips or spring rolls with curry sauce after 10pm! 😄😄

Clearly @AFKABartram was a regular and did not want his custom.

It's wrong on every level if you live north of Birmingham as well! Our chippy of choice in Nantwich has it all, mushy peas, curry sauce and gravy (who the feck has gravy on fish and chips?). If they ask me if I want anything with it I usually reply with "a few more chips would be nice".

Following on from my method described on page 5.

First some stuff, including a 25p potato.

Chips prepared and ready for seasoning.

    Chips seasoned

    Chips into air fryer

    A cooked chip

Finally chips peas and cheese topped spicy bean burger.
    Looks good Seth.
  • Can't believe all the curry sauce bashers, a good curry sauce is great with fish and chips.

    Sometimes change works.

What are you......a mouse. About half a dozen chips 🤬.

And proper chips don't have paprika on them.

    Poor show.

I think you mean mingy. Sometimes grammar is important - I've heard of a fishy minge, but never a mingey fish.
  • Could've at least made the appropriate, Charlton Life sanctioned, 14 chips @seth plum
  • Is that in the small parade of shops between the lights that takes you to Sundridge Pk and the mini roundabout taking you to Chislehurst ? A bit out the way but will try it if passing.

We are off Burnt Aah Lane nr Lidl. There is a kebab shop & a Morley's. Was a fish & chip shop there but closed down in the summer.

Need something that we can grab on the way home from a match. Grove Park area.
Mr chippy Grove Park is the best and very nice staff 👍

I think they are a part of every full English now, but they are an import. A purist would argue that a true English breakfast should only consist of product made, grown, sourced or butchered locally - Sausage, bacon, mushrooms, eggs, fried bread, black pudding, toast and butter...

Beans are ok as long as they are served up in a ramekin, don’t want the little buggers touching my egg or bacon.

They will all mingle together once in your stomach.
  • Par boil chips before putting into the air fryer for a much better end result.
