Where Charlton rank for different stats so far this season…

Sorry, I thought the stat was saying about the % of times that a team scores first in a match.
And therefore I was replying saying that in the times that we don't score first (ie, we concede first) then how many of the other teams above us in that stat (ie, who score first the least amount of times) go on to win. Because we don't win any once we concede first. Not this season & only once last season I believe.0 -
We also have the largest percentage of players who have a pie and a pint at half time.0

Are Betfair paying out on this?jimmymelrose said:We also have the largest percentage of players who have a pie and a pint at half time.0 -
Ranked 2nd for pressing (passes per defensive action)0 -
Low / middle of pack for xG and goals.0 -
4th in xG against. 6th in goals against.0 -

5th ranked for average distance to goal per shot taken.
5th ranked for average distance to goal per shot allowed.0 -
11th.
The only stat that matters.8 -
Incredibly average in terms of scoring. And bang on the line as well, suggesting that our finishing has been ok.Callumcafc said:

Even that stat is pointless until 46 games are played if you want to be like that.golfaddick said:11th.

23 league goals from 20 games played - Joint 12th in League One for goals scored
19 goals conceded from 20 games played - 6th in League One for goals conceded0 -
So do the stats you post consider pointless as well?Callumcafc said:

I love these stats
First few games: we are the best in three seasons
Next few games: we are the worst in three seasons
Now few games: we are back to being the best?!

Amazing clubs spend millions for these stats, when they are all so useless.ElfsborgAddick said:

Given they're readily available online, I doubt they're spending millions on them. They will have analysts in though, yes but Charlton will not be spending much on that. There's values in the stats though, , they help identify weak areas, especially when compared to other teams in the league.Stu_of_Kunming said:

Statistics are only good when you understand what you are looking at, and useful if you understand how they should be used. Too many use statistics to make decisions or conclusions on. They can really only direct you to where to look.
For example, having figures showing you are top for having the most successful tackles does not necessarily mean you are good at tackles. It may mean you have to make more than everyone else.
10% of all accidents are caused by drunk drivers.
Therefore 90% of accidents are caused by sober drivers.
If everyone got pissed before they drive there will be less accidents.0 -
This is absolute nonsense.Redrobo said:Statistics are only good when you understand what you are looking at, and useful if you understand how they should be used. Too many use statistics to make decisions or conclusions on. They can really only direct you to where to look.

Seeing as we hardly score on the first half of games it seems a good idea to turn up just for the 2nd half (plus added on time).fenaddick said:0
