Hopefully this will be the last time his name is mentioned on tv regarding yet another court case, and he can now slide back to his misses and remain there for the foreseeable...2

I cant remember the last time I bought a paper, I cant ever recall buying the Sun and I don't know anyone who buys a paper anymore. Sad to see people lose their jobs but when they finally pack up I won't be too disappointed.
I'm happy Harry boy has scored a victory over that poisonous rag, I don't follow what royals do or don't do and I don't know the ins and outs of his gripe but all the same I'm pleased for him.0 -

In what way do Harry's claims against the MSM, using his financial power to face them down, make it easier for the vast majority who have no practical protection of the law. Serious question.

I wouldn't disagree with that, but that doesn't directly help those without Harry's profile and financial muscle - unless it leads to meaningful legislative change.

The daily star is the one that baffles me the most.charltonkeston said:The Sun, Mail, Express etc, must be nearing the end of their time. I always have a look at their front page for what strange sometimes funny cover story they got. Today's is about locking up your bins cos it's gonna get windy, Elon musk could be a nazi and a piece about why cows are great.
Swear it's just financed by someone for their own amusement.7 - Sponsored links:

To be fair the Elon Musk Nazi/Roman salute is being widely reported.1

Maybe tomorrow's daily stars front page will be of one ginger in Harry telling another ginger in Elton John that he also didn't let the sun go down on him. Or something along those lines.
Then again they have had this whole bit about Harry calling him the man who doesn't seek media attention yet is in the media again.1 -

Hopefully he will be able to pay his bills this month. My thoughts and prayers are with the brave little soldier!0

NGN offers a full and unequivocal apology to the Duke of Sussex for the serious intrusion by the Sun between 1996 and 2011 into his private life, including incidents of unlawful activities carried out by private investigators working for the Sun.NGN also offers a full and unequivocal apology to the Duke of Sussex for the phone hacking, surveillance and misuse of private information by journalists and private investigators instructed by them at the News of the World.NGN further apologises to the Duke for the impact on him of the extensive coverage and serious intrusion into his private life as well as the private life of Diana, Princess of Wales, his late mother, in particular during his younger years. We acknowledge and apologise for the distress caused to the Duke, and the damage inflicted on relationships, friendships and family, and have agreed to pay him substantial damages. It is also acknowledged, without any admission of illegality, that NGN’s response to the 2006 arrests and subsequent actions were regrettable.NGN also offers a full and unequivocal apology to Lord Watson for the unwarranted intrusion carried out into his private life during his time in government by the News of the World during the period 2009- 2011.This includes him being placed under surveillance in 2009 by journalists at the News of the World and those instructed by them. NGN also acknowledges and apologises for the adverse impact this had on Lord Watson’s family and has agreed to pay him substantial damages. In addition, in 2011 News International received information that information was being passed covertly to Lord Watson from within News International. We now understand that this information was false, and Lord Watson was not in receipt of any such confidential information.NGN apologises fully and unequivocally for this.3

Well as long as they said solly.
I didn't follow this story that much but was there a chance he could of pursued it and taken those at the sun to the point of imprisonment?
One thing I wanted from the whole hacking scandal when the news of the world went under (to be replaced by the sun on Sunday) was that some of the editors and journalists would be properly punished. I know a couple did serve a bit of time.3 -

(I don't think they can possibly find that laws weren't broken).5 -
If we’re talking about alleged breaking of the law some 14 years ago and longer, I would suggest it isn’t in the publics interest to bring criminal prosecutions. I can think of other things I’d much rather the met concentrate on prosecuting.2

Henry Irving said:People will change their tune when they find out Charlie Methven has Harry lined up as our new high profile co-owner, Wrexham style.
If you thought the half and half Wrexham scarves were bad you are going to hate what's coming.
And "Prince Harry's Charlton Athletic" is going to really grate.

Can't believe people are siding with The Scum newspaper!7

@stop_shouting you have mentioned above it is a bit of a waste of the limited resources the met have and I unfortunately agree with you, just how it is.1 -
I'm no fan of Harry, but it's worth bearing in mind that this action all started many years ago (before he whinged about intrusion on his own private life whilst spreading the rest of his family's private lives all over the media!) but on this one I make him right.
He knew what they'd done and stuck to his guns. If it was only about money he would've settled ages ago, just like everyone else did, but he stuck with it and faced them down. Fair play to the ginge.17
