  • Played 45 minutes for the U21s today
  • Genuinely forgot he was still our player. Has he been injured?
  • Been out since the Wrexham game with a hamstring injury
  • Can’t see him getting back in the squad and out of contract in 6 months. Hopefully proving his fitness so we can get rid this month

Feels like he'd be a great pick up for someone like Stevenage, Cambridge or Northampton
  • Unless he comes  back on fire, he needs moving on.
  • Will provide good cover in an area we have been short in for a few months at worse, Ramsay certainly the better player
  • Unfortunate timing for him, as he would have featured regularly in the last few months.

He'd be ok in the current formation as he's reasonable getting forward.
  • I can see him going to free up the budget
  • Edun and Taylor played for the U21s last week.

Slightly different as Watson has been injured but could be a seller's plate.

He's OK, never seems to have a brilliant game, quite often meh and sometimes a bit worse than that
  • Seems a nice lad, although you could say that about all of them.

Probably the most unluckiest of the squad this season, had to wait his turn with Ramsay continuing from where he left off last season with us, finally got into the team because of an injury to Kayne, and was injured himself within four minutes against Wrexham
  • Definitely a player in there. Don't think he had a lot of competition when he first turned up and I thought he was coasting a bit.
Hopefully the fight for a place will bring the best out of him.
  • He was MOM last Saturday had an excellent game considering the length of time he been out injured
    Fuckwit
    Lol
You could see the change in him the moment NJ arrived last season.
Way more aggressive in his play and more effective.
if we get promoted though, I doubt he’d be with us next season.

  • Think he’s a very solid L1 player, would shine in a mid table team and is as good a back up as you could hope for at the top of the table. Seems a good lad to have around too. Not good enough for Championship but that’s fine as he’s out of contract in the summer.

Man of the match thanks I needed that laugh feel rough today, you come out with some classics Ronnie.
  • Mmmm, if we stay in Division 1, handy backup but not ideally a starter. In the championship, dont think so.
  • Even if we stay in league 1 we have Asiimwe to come back into the squad. I think Tennai should be released this summer whatever happens. He’s a decent league 1 squad player, but him not being fit for a lot of this season means I think I’d get rid as being a squad player isn’t that useful if you aren’t fit to fill in when needed
  • Maybe it's unfair to judge him after so long on the sidelines but my gut feeling says it's time to let him go.
  • The sort of player that if he was still under contract, you'd be happy to be around as backup, but he hasn't shown enough to suggest he's good enough for an automatic promotion seeking L1 side, which is what we should be if we don't go up.
  • It says a lot about the quality of Jones' squad management that a player who has barely played this season and clearly isn't viewed as first choice even when fit speaks highly of the atmosphere, is reflective about his own contributions and is desperate to stay. A huge part of having a successful season is being able to keep a large squad happy and Jones seems to be incredible at that
Yes, would echo all that, he seems a good fit for the squad too and if we don't go up....... did I say that out loud  :# ......... he'd be a good squad player for next season.

He can play in a number of positions (like REG), but whereas REG wanted to move on, so that he could play, (no gripe from me!) Watson seems willing to stay to be a squad player.

All clubs need that sort of player, for injuries, loss of form etc. Curbs was a master at signing players that could perform in a number of positions. (Radostin Kishishev, anyone? Signed as a right back, flourished in central midfield.)

We've lost REG, I would be loathe to lose another player like him. We can't have 22 1st team players! It's the squad that gets you through a season...
