  • Small as an attacking rm/rw/rwb is the way forward cutting in.
I very nearly started pondering about whether that would mean his dance card was full, but then decided that that idea was even older than me, and also (except for in my head) not terribly amusing.

But, then again, I keep humming a Flanders and Swann tune whenever I see Ahadme's name, so I'm probably an expert in not terribly amusing.

Personally I would still like a keeper , LCB and a CAM

I would only want another striker if Ahahdme and Kanu go out on loan
  • Are any signings expected before Saturday?

I wouldn't be surprised to see Ahadme and DK loaned out and another striker brought in on loan. Might be one that runs late though.
  • CAM, and a LB (If Small goes) are the priority for me

CAM is an absolute must, an LCB would be nice, a Keeper a bonus.

Personally I'd go CAM and a winger. LCB or a Striker a bonus if the right player becomes available and we can shift anyone else.
  • I'd say an attacking midfielder and a wildcard attacking player are the key areas if we are only getting two players in.

Moxon , to me isn’t an exciting signing. Not what we need IMO

Attacking midfielder to upgrade on Berry

A striker/winger alternative to TC, meaning we can loan Kanu out

    GK or LCB a bonus

That would be my order if all were available

If Small stays, he could be playing in the Championship with US next season??

No chance. He has never played for Luton.

My boss is a PNE fan and he’s text me saying he’s heard Small to them is pretty close.

Hope it’s not true but only passing on what he’s heard
if it was close I don’t think he’d have played yesterday or done the pre match press conference
Did he wave goodbye as he was kicking the corner flag to kingdom come?
That explains it, he was trying to kick it to Preston!

He’s very good from set pieces, which we lack. So he’s replacing Terry Taylor but he’s a better player than Taylor so Jones will trust him to play

If we add an attacking midfielder as well then it’s a good signing

Southampton boss, Ivan Juric, has confirmed that Southampton are looking to loan out Gavin Bazunu following his return from injury
  • I am hoping for a player like Alex Pritchard

A bit more guile centrally and a pacy alternative either up front or at wingback is a must. If either TC or Small get injured or just need a rest we currently don't have a realistic alternative which means we'll have to revert to the way we were playing before. That would be a disaster. The pace and width we've put into the side has totally changed our season and we need to ensure we can play that way without being totally reliant on two players

That would be the sort of loan that would improve us.

Why is Moxon not playing for Portsmouth? Is it because he’s not good enough for the Championship? If so, is he what we need? I thought the aim was to sign players who could step up a level as we did? Not ones we’d need to ditch when we get there.

Brought in Championship experience ahead of him with Isaac Hayden and Andre Dozzell + Freddie Potts on loan from West Ham. Pompey have also switched formations a few times it seems.

Says here they bought a load of other players in his position who are doing better than him.

I'm praying NJ doesn't want to sign another DM to play advanced.

That reads to me more like Moushino trying to convert Moxon to play deeper than he did at Carlisle.
  • I am not sure if Moxon is the answer.  Excellent in league two.  Decent last year in league one but not necessarily a high level player.  Probably an upgrade on Berry but not necessarily the player to push us into the playoffs.

Sounds like he's more of a Doc than a Berry
