We really do owe them one and what a time to deliver it.
Home, in form and on a roll to the play offs.
    Don’t fk it up Charlton.

Its game day at The Valley under the lights (well the ones that work).
  • Excited for this one, feels like there's a good buzz around the place.

Honestly don't care how we do it but 3 points is a must. Need a performance like the Chrisy Powell 11/12 season we didn't always play well but we grinded results.

It's the hope that always kills us.

Realistically Rovers aren't quite in the relegation scrap but too far off for a play-off run

Should Barnsley lose to Wycombe and any one of Bolton, Reading and Orient messing up then it really does make the play-off dream that more real.

But it's Charlton. 1-1 draw and we fail to take advantage.

1-0 Berry scores after coming on as a sub, replacing a tired Karoy.

    Also posted on another thread so forgive me;

Sorry quick question, parking for tonight I can park closer to the ground after 6:30pm is that correct? Used to park on the big hill by the animal park.

First time driving to a midweek fixture this season.

Not entirely sure but I think there is special restrictions round the closers roads on match days - I always park on the hill or just at the top as these roads don't seem to come under any restriction.

I can't decide if the home game against Crawley or Rovers away was worse. From what I remember Rovers away we did nothing until 3-0 down and then shot twice and scored both in the last minutes. We really should have tested them more, so tonight shoot on sight and follow in. (Kareem Dixon very good at poaching these... )

Be great if we can get another striker on the scoresheet tonight other than Leaburn. Would like to see Godden be given at least 30mins to try and do something...
Additionally another good sub appearance from Anderson would be good.
I rekon 2-0 goal in each half...

Should win this but we are Charlton so we'll probably lose. 1-2

We now appear to have pretty much a fully fit squad to choose from.
So not only the starting eleven but also the bench is just about as strong as we can be.
Really no excuse for not beating teams near the bottom of the table,  especially at the valley.
So hopefully 3 points and a good performance to push us towards top 6.
  • Tonight should tell us if anything really is different this season.
Draw or lose, and it's just business as usual.
Win it, especially convincingly, and we really could be in for an exciting end to the season.

I'm trying not to get overexcited about the prospect of getting into the playoffs. I actually don't think our squad is good enough to seriously challenge.

    Fixed it...
  • I think this will be another tight game but we now seem to be able to keep going right to the end. 2 late goals to win it . Wouldn’t like to say who will score them though ! Might be another situation where the subs turn the game, particularly Aneke. He really does make a difference.

Why do I dread a Tues night under the lights with a play off push starting up. Maybe the rain, maybe the small crowd or just maybe as we keep losing these type of games. As others have said Bristol Rovers have been having the better of recent clashes, 1-1, disappointment all round.
  • Haven't seen Rovers under Calderon yet, but Gas locals were very happy to see Taylor go.

Reports (from my daughter) are that they have their spirit back. O'Donkor more effective upfront and a better balance to the team best players selected, players like Lindsay dropped ( a more useless version of Jack Payne) (yes, i let him know)  means Rovers are unlikely to go down,.

Home form and at least 4 other crap teams in Div 1 will keep them safe. But they don't travel well.

    Charlton to win, 4-1.
