Played 90 minutes in a nil nil. Picked up a booking.
Northampton fans seem generally pleased with their midfield improvement between Taylor and Shaw.

Assume Taylor is eligible to play for them against us later in the season (mid-April)?3

Getting some really positive reviews by Northampton fans. Happy for him.
He's played every minute of every game he's played since he's been there so far.
Match ratings as follows via fotmob.
Vs. Wycombe: 7.6
Vs. Huddersfield: 8.0
Vs. Bolton: 7.3 (Cobblers motm and only player above a 7)
Still don't see us bringing in a better player than him, and still think he could have helped us here, especially with so many games to go.28 -

Not too surprised as don't think he's done a lot wrong for us when given a chance14

Northampton have Fosu as well. Thought we might resign him.0

we will probably have to make the decision based on which division we are in next year, ok for Div One but likely not good enough for Championship.0

To be honest it feels like a good loan all round so far. Some players are good but don't fit in with the manager's style and its suits everyone to make a fresh start. I don't think Taylor did much wrong but we haven't missed him at all since he went and he's showing what he can do at Northampton. Hopefully he builds his profile enough that someone is willing to pay a decent amount of money for him and we can reinvest that in players that suit us better14

A Northampton fan has said they believe they’ve missed out on targets to high paying L2 clubs, so it seems believable that they’re paying most or all of Taylor’s wages.
One of them has said there have been L2 signings this month in which players are being paid around £5k - that gives a good idea just how much is being spent at they level, never mind in L1.
Maybe Salford who have their famous owners and just had a lucrative cup tie at Man City, but who else?
After watching an episode about Salford and the class of 92 only last night unless their keeper and captain back in December 24 was lying, his quote after a losing run and just before Robinson's appointment and a 5-1 home defeat was:
"If we get relegated I'm in trouble as I have a mortgage and two young kids and a wife to support"
No way he was anywhere near 250k a year and it was the opposite of the Wrexham Hollywood story.

But there's no real point in keeping him around on a decent wedge just for that scenario.
He's been at Wolves, Grimsby, Burton and Northampton as well as us, I reckon he's more settled in the Midlands overall, and expect to see him sold in the summer. Shame because I really rated him but sometimes it happens where a player and a manager just don't click0 -
