Didn’t we have a whole season of Crossbars being almost entirely empty on matchdays because the club wanted people to pay a membership?
We used Crossbars in the Prem days and I think we had to pay to have a pass for the season.

    Definitely Kensell.
Not disputing that,  but I seem to remember Dad paying for Crossbars passes and that would have been well before Ben Kensell's time.

I can't honestly remember what happened in the PL, but I know they made a right mess that season.

It's been free admission since 2015.

I happen to be going through my files, which show the following from 2002/03. The document also reminds me that there was also a separate north stand restaurant, which was used for match to match sales, so not included. But you can see that even in 2002 Crossbars was a hard sell.

I don’t know we had/have boxes in the West stand?

Yes, he wanted to sweat the asset by charging fans £20 each to get in

I wonder if his assets are sweating at the moment!
