The company that held the license for the kit brand (Reebok) we were going to wear went bust, so I'm not sure what happened with the deal.

As for Puma and Adidas, if you want a template kit, cool, but I'd rather went with someone who could do a nice bespoke thing for us.
Peterborough got a bespoke kit from Puma. So I'm sure we would too

Peterborough United is woven into the fabric of the city. That’s why we’ve made your city, our city, the front of this season’s home shirt. At the heart of the city is the stadium, which is why at the heart of the shirt is the Peterborough United crest.

The spin is incredible, Peterborough as a city doesn’t have much heart but if it did it certainly wouldn’t be the stadium!
  • We have a puma sample shirt in the museum and the design is very lazy
  • Reebok are owned by Authentic Brands Group, who are based in Boston Massachusetts, so would make sense if it's a US based supplier who is taking over.

They had sub contracted the team wear in the UK out to a license holder, so that’s who the deal is with, same licensee had New Balance on the books.

Leigh Leopards are wearing a Reebok kit in Super League, but suspect that was delivered a while ago
  • O’neils would be my choice, I think Bristol City’s kit is smart

O'Neils are excellent quality. I own quite a few GAA kits and training tops and the quality is brilliant

They do some decent designs too

Am watching the Blackburn v Wolves game, would Wolves shirt be described as a banana colour? This colour is far removed from their gold colour tops.

  • Don’t like the two reds.
    Red and Cerise...clash a bit.
  • That Puma shirt looks like a really cheap training shirt someone's brought of ProDirectSoccer or something.

Not even as if they could pass that off as simple or "retro ", it just looks lazy and cheap

Yes, it's like the very first Nike kit, which wasn't just a generic pub team kit, it was also the wrong colour.
  • Puma 🤮
  • I have a couple of our Castore shirts, i m o they are very good quality, on a par with Nike, why change for changes sake ?
  • Puma or Reebok?
  • Puma kits are awful, if we were having a random brand then Kappa isn't too bad, apart from the fact they make most things skin tight!

Charlie said they were unbelievably unprofessional towards us.  There were loads of issues with other club kits too.  I think they’ve gone too big too quickly.  Quantity over quality.

Picked up Castore stuff in other sports and the quality just isn't there when I put it next to say our Hummel shirts or some of the older Joma shirts

Not surprised to hear they're not that professional to deal with, feels like they got a big pot of investment money and just went crazy signing deals left right and centre.

They've just lost the McLaren F1 deal to Puma too.

I think they massively underestimated the logistics of actually getting kits made and delivered. All their efforts have gone into winning contracts.
  • They've pivoted into Rugby in the last few years, lots of deals done, and now the England kit supplier

    Believe it's Reebok
as in next seasons kit supplier?
  • as in next seasons kit supplier?
    yep
  • Do they still make football kits?
  • The retro stuff has still not come out?  I was thinking there were a few different ones being sold.
  • Do they still make football kits?
Who Reebok? yes, the brand has come back into Football, and Rugby League as well, Leigh Leopards are wearing Reebok in the Super League this season
  • Do you reckon we let reebok overtake the club shop like we did castore?
