Should be replaced with a massive mural of Danny Hylton, though not sure the resident would be pleased with their property referred to as ‘The Shithouse”Henry Irving said:The mural should be restored and treated with anti-grafitti paint IMO as it represents local residents fighting to save their homes but that's not a job for the club or fans.

This is all well and good but what on earth does it have to do with Gavin Carter?

He was the one who spray canned "Millwall FC" on the mural, possibly.TeeC said:This is all well and good but what on earth does it have to do with Gavin Carter?13 -
Steve Brown gave Carter a lot of praise on the CharltonTV monthly show. Also said Carter will be on the Meet the Directors slot on the show in 23 Jan2

Well yes. That’s likely because he is (rightly) doing something for ex players.Henry Irving said:Steve Brown gave Carter a lot of praise on the CharltonTV monthly show. Also said Carter will be on the Meet the Directors slot on the show in 23 JanWhereas for rank and file supporters not enough is improving and we still have overpriced tickets for poor quality football.0 -
I am just curious and thought it would be interesting to debate this further, and to hear from fans that have a much better insight into how this could be working at the moment with the setup we have.
What difference is Gavin making in his new role? There has been a turn in form, and change in the SMT with Andy Scott and Charlie Methven's departure. Ultimately what does this all mean? and is Gavin calling all the shots?
What future role does Gavin have at the club? I wonder what the new plans are in motion now that almost all the old SMT have left, and of course what the intentions of the owners are moving forward, has that changed?
I understand that Gavin is a fan, so it would seem clear that he has the clubs best intentions at heart and perhaps that is another reason why we are seeing a positive turn for the club since Christmas?

A non exec chair, when effective, is a key link between owners and management. If there is dissatisfaction expressed then the owners will take it seriously. I don't think it's a coincidence that these changes are happening under Gavin's tenure.8
