If Dixon gets game time the fans will need to show him the type of tolerance Thierry Small gets. It is fair to ask what more does Dixon have to do, but you could ask that about some others, notably Casey. They both offer very different styles.
Dixon is nowhere near ready. Scoring against weak U21 sides is a million miles from playing in League One. He has looked very ordinary in two games that I watched recently. Give him time.

Casey and Mbick (when he was fit) score plenty at u21 too, but there doesn’t seem to be any demand for them to get a chance in the first team. Dixon seems to have been overhyped because we paid a small fee for him and he has caps for Jamaica.
The concerns are more about Dixon’s all round game. He scores goals, works hard, will try something unexpected, but he’s still getting stronger and can improve his decision making, link up play, sometimes his composure in front of goal etc.

Bower had the ball on his left foot, cut back onto his weaker right foot and hit it into the top corner, assisted by Fullah.
Fullah picked up a loose pass from the defender and placed a low shot into the corner just outside the box.
