Great press throughout, that never let Wigan settle. Dominant for majority of the game, with somehow Wigan being able to sneak a goal and it was an uneasy last few minutes. A 2nd Wigan goal would have been a bigger theft than Brinksmat and the great train robbery combined.
Coventry excellent in midfield and extra credit for avoiding a yellow for the last few games. He still managed to put in strong performances during these games.
Godden works so hard and well done for getting 2, shame hatrick chance at start of 2nd didn't go in, with 3 at the point, the game would have been a lot easier.
Another 3 points. Charlton have gathered an impressive number of points, during a demanding period. Its a credit to how hard the team is working together.

Take a win any way they come at this stage of the season. Played very well for the most part.
Godden showing what a great finisher he is again.
    Fortress Valley!

    2nd is within reach.
    UTA!

Been like it all season.  Can't score more than 2 goals in a game & soon that will bite us on the bum. I now expect us to make the play offs but we wont get 2nd.

But I dont want to detail this thread with negativity so I'll leave it to others to bask in another win.
Genuinely your ability to bring negativity to a positive situation is quite astounding.

It’s become his gimmick at this point…boring, irritating and just pointless. Don’t know why he’s a fan of the club if he’s never happy

I used to think it was funny but now it’s just got to the point where it’s annoying.

It’s the statement of ‘facts’ that so often get proven wrong (some almost instantly) that grind on me the most.

Totally dominated that game , only being beaten by our own pitch , Jones missed his header due to the bounce , Mannion miskicked due to a horrible bounce and Gilly had a terrible bounce that led to the goal …… the game should have been safe , Campbell has to be scoring at the start of the second …. But it was an excellent performance again we keep going …

Could point out once again, that apart from Ipswich a couple of years ago (and they came second) I don’t think a team who has been promoted in the last 10-15 years has averaged more than 2 goals a game.

Or point out even more how rare it is GD decides promotions.

    But hey ho.

Thanks both, the fact we’re even in with a chance of going up automatically let alone playoffs is an absolutely ridiculous turnaround, full credit to the lads involved. I was one of the #JonesOut crew and was so anti-Gillesphey but they have both turned it round completely and I have to hold my hands up and accept that. COYR

Wrexam win. It does piss me off how much these "neultral" commentators fawn over Hollywood FC

Great first half, but the fact we didn’t thump then second half does show our weakness and that we are still a work in progress attacking wise - I agree with golfie there but NJ has done a marvellous job to date and I have every faith we will get stronger and stronger with him in charge - tennis Watson does a job but nothing more - can’t go past anybody and can’t defend 1 on 1 - didn’t stop one cross from coming in

The cross should have been stopped by Watson he didn't get close to stopping it.

Connor Cov was bloody marvellous today. Lloyd imperious as ever. Shame we didn’t kick on and get a few more but thought we were very good for 84 mins. Next Saturday will be a very tough game at Peterborough

Shame we couldn't get that third goal to put the game to bed and a shame we couldn't see the game out without conceding. It felt to me that the substitutions acted as a signal to just see the game out rather than take the game to them and that's where our problems started. I'd far rather keep pressing on.

That said, it's another three points and we dominated for the bulk of that game. So shouldn't be too upset about one goal. Also, our form is so much better than the teams we are competing against, including Wrexham and Wycombe. We are the juggernaut in that division. Hopefully we'll make 2nd place, but if we don't we'll surely be in poll position for the play offs.
