RIP. One of the legends of Formula 1, and he'd been trying to reconstruct the London Irish professional rugby side after it went bust leaving just the amateurs playing.
Ah bless. He was talking to Alan Brazil and Ally McCoist only about 2 weeks ago on Talksport and he sounded like he was struggling but after the interview, he apologised to all the listeners, saying he wa struggling, didnt feel like his usual self etc. He was proper choked up and it was a real hard listen but the outpouring of messages for him afterwards was noticable as mentioned my Alsn and Ally.
Even when he was struggling he was still enthusiastically talking about F1 but I think he was originally on to talk about a rugby team he was buying with his son (London Irish?)
RIP Eddie. One of the real characters of the F1 paddock and will be sadly missed.
RIP Eddie , achieved so much with a complete underdog team. Hopefully Aston can roll out in Japan in the classic 90s Yellow and Black livery as a tribute.
He was always interesting to listen to and not afraid to say what he thought. Was at the Belgian GP in 1991 when Schumacher had his first (and only I think) outing in a Jordan - seem to remember he broke down on the grid but had demonstrated his talent in qualifying. RIP Eddie.
Shit, I was talking about him a couple of days ago and that Jordan team with Eddie Irvine, Fissichella, Trulli, Barrichello and some other really good drivers
Cancer is a dreadful thing rest in peace Eddie Jordan, he seemed like fun
Had the coolest looking cars after the tobacco advertising ban, the one with the snakes head on the nosecone and instead if Benson & Hedges it was bitten & hisses
A larger than life character who was the quintessential example of Irish charm but with an intelligent brain to go with it.
I also didn't know he was Adrian Newey's manager but I did know he had an aggressive Prostrate cancer diagnosis about a year ago which brought back the words of an Oncology Professor to me when I said I wanted to wait another six months before possible treatment back in 2019. "Wait another six months and it could spread"
RIP Eddie Jordan, you lived life in the fast lane.
Eddie really was a magnet to F1 for me and many others I am sure. Watching him on TV was a pleasure. As an owner and commentator, he never minced his words. Such a sad loss to motorsports RIP Eddie

RIP Eddie.
i wonder what would have happened to Jordan F1 if they hadn’t let Schumacher slip away and sign dor Benetton.
Schumacher qualified 7 in is his first outing in an F1 car, but the clutch on the Jordan gave out after about 500m in the actual race. At which point Benetton (Flavio Briatore)stepped in and said put your cross here Michael me lad!

Had no idea he was so ill
Didn't realise that Eddie was Adrian Newey's manager and his deal with Aston Martin is down to his negotiation.
Rest in peace Eddie ❤️
