Charlton looked so much better and solid with Edwards back. Sometimes a player being away, emphasis how important they are to the team. Defence was assured and rock solid, Huddersfield barely got a sniff of goal the whole match. Midfield brilliant performances with Coventry and Doherty controlling the midfield. Small was dangerous on the right. With Ramsey on the right and Edwards on the left they gave stablity for TC and Small to push forward. Tyreece Campbell was unplayable. Better coming in to the centre then from the line. Hoping those goals will help build confidence up in front of goal, even more.
Didn't score but thought Berry had a really intelligent and assured game. Definitely due a goal. Godden as good as ever. The bullet header set the tone for the match.
Good subs as well that rested players and gave a run out for others. Great to Rahiem Dixon get a run out. Chuks Aneke still hungry to score. I hope he gets a goal by the end of the season. McIntyre looks an able replacement.
The best that our midfield three have played today. Each did their own job brilliantly and was certainly Berry’s best game for us. Jones and Campbell excellent, Godden is such a clever footballer. Nobody had a bad game.
Just a quick comment on the challenge on Ramsay first half. It was right in front of me and was no way a foul, just a full bloodied challenge which Ramsay came off a little worse from. Doubt it will be on his post game show reel.
Pleased you confirmed that as I watched that 4 times and I could see it was a robust challenge but I couldn't see a foul. I call it nous( or shithousery 😃)when Mannion went down with Cramp 🤥 so early in the game so Ramsey could recover and so relieved he could play on and hopefully no issues after the match when no adrenaline is running through his veins.
Went into the game nervous after Peterborough but that was fantastic, great to watch on a surprisingly hot day too!
I suggest everyone to watch that 3rd goal and how much effort Godden put in beforehand to cause that build up play, it was such a good bit of football to watch and ultimately lead to such a quality goal from TC!
We can be such an utter joy to watch sometimes, thanks Charlton for a wonderful day!
We played better football, we won in the air, we won on the ground, we won the tackles, we were more physical and outsmarted them. Could/should have been more - would have loved for a TC hat trick, with that magnificent effort in the second half, forcing a fine save.
Credit to the Huddersfield fans for pointing out they had the ball near the end - it'll be a long ride home.
Early KO meant the sun never made it to our seats, so much chillier than expected. Traffic awful, over an hour to drive the 5 miles home. Some of the worst corners and free kicks I’ve ever seen. Atmosphere ruined by that awful you’ve got the ball we’ve got the ball nonsense. Watson offered nothing when he come on. Fortunately Huddersfield weren’t interested and defended terribly 4 times.
Top performance all round really, 4-0 didn't flatter us. It has to be said that Huddersfield were terrible, so many casual passes, but if our pressing hadn't been so good, they might have got away with it.
Having been there before many times, it's nice to see the opposition fans having to resort to gallows humour.
TC must have put another 500k on his value today at least, as all that's been missing has been the finishing, and he took his goals superbly today.
Onle the 2nd game I've seen in person this year (lots on the stream).
There have been various points this season where something has clicked and we've moved to another level. Start of season it was defensively, then adding the press, then changing the attacking style, today it just felt like patterns of play all fell into place. The attacking movement, the little triangles out on the wings, the moves from set pieces. Everything excellent. On top of the press looking even better than it had all season. Long may it continue.
Noticed that when we are off the ball Doc is playing as our deepest midfielder as a shield and we are pushing Cov higher up the pitch to try and break up their play further up. This means when he gets his interceptions or wins the ball back he can play it straight to the attackers. Keeps the pressure on them as we just keep coming back. On the ball Doc then makes his runs ahead of Cov and arrives in the box.
Overall everyone knows their roles so well. Haven't looked this fluid since the run in 2019.
Played really well today. Every element of the team was on form.
Special mentions to Jones and Campbell but all of the others, including the subs, did their bit.
And to cap off a great day (so far) we bumped into John Humphrey at Cannon Street and had a chat. Some people say "don't meet your heroes"......but that phrase doesn't apply to John. He's a gent of the highest order.
So many good performances today but TC was literally immense. The work ethic in this team is ridiculous. There was a piece of early play at 1-0 where the ball went out to their right back and TC gave it full beans to press and force him into playing. He took the rushed option and slid it down the wing and Edwards similarly attacked it at pace and it ended up going out for a nothing throw. So much effort forcing oppositions into making rushed decisions and unforced errors.
Only he knows the truth, but TC gave the demeanour last season of a player with rock bottom confidence putting in minimum effort. The turnaround in his displayed effort is insane, and the hard work is getting just rewards like we saw today.
As complete a performance as I have seen this season. Thoroughly enjoyed that especially having the last half hour watching without being a nervous wreck!
A nice sunny day. Lots of fans pouring down Floyd Road. But I still miss seeing Ric and his acolytes flogging The Voice of The Valley: great mag. Good to see the Scandinavians' get a great round of applause. And then a goal in the first minute. I thought I was dreaming. Huddersfield couldn't cope with our press. TC top dog today.

Well done TC 👏👏
“Striker is a new position — I haven’t really played it before,” he tells Standard Sport. “I think I’ve done well, been able to impact games. I’ve learnt how to use my body better. I got used to the shape in pre-season.”
When Jones came in last February, Campbell was not handed the game-time he’d wanted and cites it as a “difficult period”. Sources say he put in overtime at the club’s Sparrows Lane training ground last summer, testing the patience of the groundsmen when they wanted to lock up. Asked whether those extra hours were a target he had set himself, Campbell replies, curtly: “I would have done it anyway.”
It's paying off. “I’ve become stronger, more powerful. As a striker, I’m in more contact with a lot of centre-backs, so I have to hold it up.” Campbell, honest with himself, says there is still “room for improvement” where end-product is concerned.
Great day, excellent performance all round.TC was unplayable at times, but what I liked about his performance,he also had an eye for a short pass around the box. This lad could become a complete player,we better go up or it will be difficult to keep him. Mention for the subs, all did their bit, especially Chucks who has took a bit of stick recently, but today did his bit very well.
Shout out for NJ. After last week's disappointment, he had the team firing on all cylinders from the off. He recognised that Huddersfield's defense was a patchwork of players who were ring rusty or just unfit, and made sure the lads took full advantage. Huddersfield were woeful, from their awful kit to their total lack of passing ability. Our midfield was magnificent again led by a barnstorming Doherty, but for me, the key was the return of Edwards who gives the side balance. TC had one of those days when everything went right and Small continues to impress. That 30 second goal was all about him looking up and seeing where he needed to put the ball, and then putting over the perfect cross for Godden to meet...perfection.
World of difference from some other home wins. No jeopardy ...as afew others, but big difference was the attacking play and the number of chances created. Very enjoyable. More please

No respect was shown to Huddersfield and it didn't need to be - they were completely dismantled.
Competed for everything and won their individual battles. Hunted in packs. Fantastic on the ball.
Won't expect this every week but the team has a much higher ceiling than I thought.
A fantastic afternoon at The Valey !!
