For once, I’m not sure I’m going to vote, daft I know, but I keep changing my mind, because there’s so many of them that could win it, which I guess is a good thing, a very strong case for LJ though.1

Not intended as a criticism, but with over 15% of the season still to run, not sure why the need to open an online survey now and run it for 3 weeks? Would have got exactly the same participation by leaving it a few more games and running it for a week.13

Arguments to be made for Coventry, Small, Godden, Ramsay, Jones, Tyreece. Maybe even a few others.
How can a poty be decided before the potential penultimate games?
Godden could score 10 more goals and be a favourite, TC could score 10 and be the same, someone could get injured, someone could get a red.
Strange decision.
Club messed up with the dinner this year but people don't have to vote today.
In any case it should be the best player over the season not, IMHO, someone who scores a late winner v Burton to take us into second.
For that reason Lloyd Jones for me.
Our post Crawley at home success and the good start were built around a solid defence and Jones has been key to that. He's also been a leader despite not being captain.3 -
It’s very difficult this year and although it should be over the course of the season, performances in ‘the business end’ become more meaningful.
@AddicksAddict mentions 3 players above and doesn’t even consider Ramsey, who I think is by far our most ‘quality’ player, Edwards who is one of our most consistent, and Coventry who is one of our most improved.1 -
When we have half a dozen player's who in any of the last 5 seasons would've probably have won shows you the improvement especially since after the Crawley home match.
I agree that Ramsey looks/is class but judging over the 39 matches so far, Lloyd Jones or Conor Coventry will get my vote for performing at a high level most matches they were available.
TC with the best individual performance against Huddersfield. 9.21 average was well deserved.
Thierry at 20 has been a revelation playing on the right with Ramsey covering him. Small has magic feet as well as two left feet at times ! But we love him for going on the outside or inside in attacking positions and the left foot rocket with hit the net soon 💪🏿
Tyreece or Thierry for young players of the season.
Big shout out for Josh Edwards who has a good partnership with TC on the left just like Kayne and Thierry on the right. We gave a 4 year contract to a really good player in Josh 👏🏼
Matty Godden have 16 goals to date and replacing a top scorer like AM was a hard act to follow but "the sniffer dog" has endeared himself to Charlton fans with his ability and like a fine wine is getting sharper as the season moves on.
Most improved must be Macca who has gone from Zero to hero in 3 months and again its down to having a strong partnership with Lloyd Jones.
I will decide after the Mansfield game on Conor or Lloyd 🤔
We are spoilt for choice which is unusual over the last 5 seasons.

I've gone for Coventry but close between him and Jones.0

How nice is it to have a debate and struggle to know who to vote for this season? For me it could easily be any of Jones, Coventry, TC, Godden, Ramsay or even possibly Edwards. The last few years it’s been obvious who would win9
-
Like most others it's between Jones and Coventry for me. Although Ramsay misses out being in that same category through injury which is slightly unfair. Likewise if we'd have gone with the TC, Godden, Small approach earlier in the season those 3 could also all well be in the same category. Edwards and Gillesphey been superb too. Isn't it nice you can make a case for a good chunk of the 11 to win it.0

People may be forgetting the first half of the season. The vote needs to represent contribution for the whole time ideally.1

Tough this year but opted for Lloyd Jones1

Must concentrate on it being based on a whole season which means that missing games through injuries to Ramsey & Edwards probably rules them out. Godden wasn’t starting early season games and neither was Small so they’re ruled out as well.
Just left to choose between three now 😱
Coventry or Jones for me, but the fact that those other 5 are all entirely sensible choices is very refreshing.1 -

Coventry for me. If we are talking about consistency and longevity, there is absolutely no question.Brilliant that we have a shortlist that’s quite long though! Some sensational performances this season!1
-
Definitely a tough one. Jones, Coventry, Godden and Ramsey were the players I've been thinking of but I've gone for Coventry .0

With you on that, Beds.1 -
Lloyd Jones for me, just over Coventry.0

Seems far too early for vote for me1

Last season vote also opened in March, then closed on 12 April. This season, we have a few extra days to make a choice.0

I think it's between Coventry and Jones, but it has to be Jones for no reason other than he's just signed a new contract and he's pretty stuck with us now. Can't be alerting other teams to how good Coventry is by giving him POTY, must be out of your minds!0
-
It has to be Conor Coventry, he has been the most consistent player. People were doubting him but he has proved them wrong.1
-
I’ve got Jones, Coventry & Godden all pretty level at the moment. Coventry just edging it as he’s been a pretty much ever present. Going to wait until after the Northampton game to vote to see which one moves clear.0
-
It’s just a really good feeling that we have people talking about having a number of candidates for a change, rather than it seeming like we’re voting for the least worst option.5
-
Haven't decided but CC playing so well for all those games without getting booked may mean he edges it0

I'll be swerving the vote this year, with too many important games coming up, and it being so close, I don't think there can be a true winner picked right now, and whoever gets it will really deserve it when the season is complete.
Not that a singular vote matters but that's how I see it.0 -
Done Lloyd Jones, as hard a decision as it was0

POTY Jones
Young player or most improved player or both. TC2
