What a comedown for Shrewsbury, thought Ainsworth was doing as well as can be expected (edit), just seen he left of his own accord

Clearly as one of the chief proponents of ugly football Ainsworth couldn't live anywhere as nice as Shrewsbury and has now found an environment more to his liking.
  • Re: Appleton will be suprised if he lasts until the end of the season!
Most of us knew what we were getting when he was appointed and dreaded it,
purely a mate of Charlie Methven.
  • Let’s Hope his hands aren’t glued in his pockets.
  • Scoham said:
Appleton talked about other managers faking passion....
I'll take one that fakes it over one that can't even be arsed to do that.
  • I honestly can’t imagine anything worse than being in Shrewsburys situation and then having to listen to that depressing bloke in their post match press conferences

    Well thats them down then,
  • You are all making fun of him but none of you would say it to his face though,

Jokes aside I'm interested to see if Appleton's tried and tested method of telling the squad how shit they are in training will lift morale.
  • Took two points off Wycombe tonight. Cheers Micky.
  • Still can't believe that gormless oxygen thief ended up as *our* manager

  • That could describe many of our recent managers.
