Jones  by a distance for me.  He was good even when we were shyte before Christmas.  Most of the others mentioned have come onto a game since then.

Got to be Lloyd Jones based on the whole season so far.

But any other year there would be a very strong case for Ramsay, Coventry and Godden.

Not intended as a criticism, but with over 15% of the season still to run, not sure why the need to open an online survey now and run it for 3 weeks? Would have got exactly the same participation by leaving it a few more games and running it for a week.
Fine if it was just a vote and there was no other work to do such as getting trophies done, organising an event, if that is allowed, making the presentations.
I can’t see how any of what you said needs doing is effected by starting the vote in 2 weeks & running it for 1 week.

Yes people don’t have to vote for 2 weeks, but they will and are already doing so.

Totally agree atm has to be Jones 33 games and 18 clean sheets with a couple goals added in too, of course other players could make a late claim for it ie godden/tc continuing to go on a great run and keep scoring to get us over the line and also mentions to Ramsay and Coventry who have been class aswell only thing I'd say is Ramsay was out for a bit and Coventry needs to add a bit more going forward but is the best at what he does.I will personally hold off on the vote till the later games but jones in front for me.

Well the CL Statbank is currently neck and neck between Ramsey (7.14) and Jones (7.15)

Has to be Jones then, on the basis that he’s played 30% more games than Ramsey (32 starts vs 24).

Coventry by a mile …. Then I would have said Jones but given his injuries this season I think Gilly may have jumped into second

Jones for me followed by Ramsay and Coventry. A clear top 3 and they could all play in the Championship.

As regulars I’m sure TC and Gillesphey will get some votes for their improvement, Godden for his goals and becoming our main striker, and Small for the excitement he adds.

TC is edging it for me with Jones, Coventry, Godden and Gillesphey snapping at his heels. I think TCs improvement and elevation into the player all of our opponents fear the most has to be recognised.

I'm just going to vote TC. As much as most of the players have had fantastic seasons, without him we just simply wouldn't win as many games, he's the reason this system works.

Jones goes out, McIntyre or Mitchell could 'do a job' and we still might win. Coventry goes out, Karoy comes in, we lose balance, but we are still sound enough defensely. Godden gets injured, we will miss his goals and intelligence, but we can still get away with it. You lose TC, and all our attacking threat is gone in an instant, and teams are less worried.

The most irreplaceable player for me now, getting a well earned vote from me. We would look useless without him attacking wise.

Jones absence from the team always shows in my view. It is why I think he edges it.

Jones might have got injured at the worst time to win a few extra votes. It might not be as nailed on as I thought a few weeks ago.

Jones has missed too many games due to his injuries to win in my opinion. Tyreece has been a revelation and is worthy of getting it. A lot of people didn’t think he was worth retaining this time last year. Now he’s undoubtedly our biggest asset. That’s not to say Jones hasn’t made all the difference when he’s been available.

League games played by the front runners.

    Gillesphey 41
    Campbell 40
    Coventry 40
    Godden 37
    Small 37
    Jones 33
    Ramsay 28

Jones 1st 2nd and 3rd. The periods he missed were our worst, and he made that defence so solid. TC has been a late bloomer this season, wouldn't be close to the list if it wasn't for his last 3 games. Coventry has been good, but was part of a very misfiring midfield for a good while.

So, more seriously, Jones 1st, Ramsay 2nd, Coventry 3rd, then Godden, TC, Gillesphey

No place for Danny Hylton, I'm afraid.

We could end the season with more clean sheets than either of our last two promotion seasons, and even missing a few games recently Jones has been a key part in that. He's been very good in most games, really stepping up from his form last season.

TC deserves votes too though, he's got better as the season has gone on and we're a lot weaker in attack when he's not there.
  • a lot of recent bias with TC going on here, anyhow Lloyd jones should be winning this he has been outstanding pretty much in every game we have played

Isn't that how it should he though? You base it over the season and not the first 20 games or so..

It hasn't been the last 3 games or so for TC, for me it's been since Northampton away or around then. He's been like CBT was for us last season. We have a chance of winning every game cause of one players brilliance.
