Was he banned because he tended to politicise most threads or was there something else? He joined the forum in 2008 and was mostly controversial but you need differing views to generate healthy debate.

Not a kindred spirit of mine politically or at the dining table but a good man in the flesh and different opinions make the world go round in a free society.
Cannot understand this banning of a longtime poster.

I'm sure this thread will not last long. I wasn't involved but there was a dispute between Seth and another poster where Seth reacted, as he often does when challenged, quite aggressively. In this instance though he really did cross a line or two and the thread had to be pulled and substantially reedited. I assume this led to his ban.

No you don't.
OK let's all agree to agree. Lol
Think the Major is pulling your leg there mate lol
I can assure the mod team don’t ban users lightly or on a whim. Everything gets discussed and agreed and long time posters generally get given multiple instances before an action is taken (that’s not really what anyone wants to do). Thats what’s happened here. Unwanted, but in this case necessary. It’s never helpful to discuss moderating actions openly (mainly because one party is no longer able to engage), nor is it helpful having multiple posts discussing actions that have been taken, so if anyone wants to discuss privately please reach out to one of the moderators. Cheers all
