Even the commentator thought the Ramsay yellow was ridiculous and he could not have been more clear that he was looking for a Northampton win all game1

One day it'll click that most people were not pissed off with who he signed, but who he sold. I know it's all in the past, but he's made these points himself after wins on multiple occasions.2 -
Dazzler21 said:We're so incredibly inconsistent. Northampton came to do a job and got away with it for the most part. Their goal was a stupid error from McIntyre. Overall we were still much better than them.
TC needs to be quicker with his decision making and more alert on the break, add to this that our team need to look for his breaks and we could have a really good player. We almost need him to study Lloyd Sam in League 1 footage.
Anyway kids had fun and we won so onto the next one.7 -

Yes, we might not have lost recently but we're not playing with any type of swagger & last 2 games have been holding on to a single goal lead going into injury time.
Yes, call me a negative Nancy (I'm really not - just a realist) but it would be nice to win by more than a single goal & look comfortable with 10 mins to go.
Looking at other teams recent results I think we'll lose on Monday & Wycombe are now in the box seats for 2nd. Wrexham are now starting to bottle it & can see us winning up there.
Cant see is getting 2nd, especially as our GD is much worse than the other 3 teams around us who can grab it. Only way that will change is if we beat Wycombe & Wrexham by 3 or 4 clear goals, which ain't going to happen.
4 wins in 5.
9 wins in 12
1 defeat in 12.
2 defeats in 19.
56 points from our last 25 games, which averaged over a full season is 103 points.
But yeah, we're not an "in form" team.
We are only just managing to beat the poor teams at the wrong end of the table. If we beat Burton 4-0 like we beat Rochdale at the end of the 18/19 season then I'll eat humble pie.
The most pessimistic person on CL by a country mile.6 -
The Valley struggles with 20k crowds now, maybe with 20k regulars (as in the PL days) it would be smoother, but now it feels really crowded.
There were massive queues for the Upper CE again, were enough turnstiles built for that section? The Curbs concourse is completely clogged up, while the number of ladies toilets is clearly not enough now.4 -
Last season, a 2-3 home defeat against Northampton meant the end of Mickey Apples. We were four points off relegation.
This season, a 2-1 home win against Northampton secured our place in the top six for this season.35 -

At this point in the season, most teams including the poor ones are fighting for something, so it's rare to see absolute hammerings. There were only 3 games in the entire football league yesterday where a team won by more than 2 goals, and none of them were in league one.6 -

Chippycafc said:Unfortunately wasnt there yesterday due to work commitment's, but spoke to a mate after the game and first thing he said was how bad the ref was.
Just read a good majority of the players marks and amazed to see marks for the ref by a good majority of contributors as 6 and 7 and words like he was ok,
Was he bad or was he good.
This ref seemed biased in Northampton's favour as they seemed to be getting every 50/50 that benefitted them, while we didn't get a single one.
Likewise, they should have had several players booked for over 30 minutes of blatant time-wasting, but the ref only seemed to care when we were doing it at the end of the game. A moment that stood out to me was Northampton's players walking EXTREMELY slowly off the pitch, to which the ref waved off our players' protests. Then when TC was subbed, the ref pushed him in the back to encourage him to get off the pitch quicker, despite him moving at practically double the pace that Northampton's subbed players were.
He didn't give anything shockingly wrong for them or against us, but I thought it was pretty evident that he wasn't impartial.5 -

The players seem to enjoy working for Jones. We are on the outside looking in so can only speculate. Of course, this is a forum and speculate is what we do. I have to admit I speculated wrongly earlier in the season in relation to Jones and so am far more contrite now as a result. When he says I told you so, I say good for him. I appreciate he is telling me so although in some areas like May, I was not sure that Godden wasn't a better replacement and I saw Small as a key player before he was being played.
We shouldn't be too down on ourselves for being critical earlier in that there was lots of evidence that things were not working but I see it now as Jones having total faith in his ability and indeed his players and not being afraid to make mistakes to find that winning formula.1 -

Northampton you've been SUNK!!It was around 1978/79 and I was, and still am, a close friend of the then guvnor of The Antigallican. I was driving his car (he was pissed!) back from an away dart match and a car stopped to give way to me around a parked car. He used a phrase that I still use to this very day:"You can get the f*cking Rodney through there!"3
