Anyone on here taken a baby to a Charlton game?

  • I believe I was 8 months old when I attended my first Charlton match on the way back from a family holiday and it didn't do me any harm! (You'll have to take my word for that!)

In case we make it to the playoff final, thought I'd share I just noticed that no under 2s are allowed in to Wembley Stadium. This is a change since our last game there - I remember well as I took my boy when he was just coming up to 2. (With ear defenders, obviously, all 3 generations had a great day)

I'm counting absolutely no chickens that we'll be in the final. But I'm sure contingent plans will be made in advance by supporters of all four playoff contenders, on the chance they might get there.

  • Superb reawakening of a thread that has lain dormant for over 16 years.
  • @Swisdom did you end up taking her in the end, and does she still go to games?
  • I took our oldest son to a game when he was several months old back in 1990, although it was a pre-season evening friendly at Brentford with a very small crowd. The two girls on the hotdog stall were a bit nonplussed when I got them to heat his bottle in the second half.

At 12 days old I took my son to his first Charlton game.
At the time we had hospitality, madness though when I reflect on it as I was not long out of hospital from a C section 😱
Like you Swisdom, the story has a happy ending, at nearly 30 years old he along with his brother are mad Charlton fans.
It is also something we all do as a family and I’m currently sitting with them both on a train back from Chester having quality time discussing the ins and outs of the football.
