I think every team who is going to be in League One next season is hoping we go up in the playoffs this year
Just like i did with Bolton
last years losing play off 3 currently 8th,12th and 17th
There's usually an overachieving smaller club in the playoffs who if they don't go up, lose their best players and/or manager, and struggle the next season.
That doesn't apply to Bolton, so a real mystery why they've been so poor this season.

Held onto Evatt too long out of loyalty when the results weren't there , would consider them a threat for next season under Schumacher with his own squad.
Controversial opinion maybe... but I think we are better off having the first leg at home. We have shown on a couple of occasions recently that we can win 3 or 4 nil at home. I worry about a performance like today, Peterboro or Rotherham. I feel more confident about us holding a lead than pulling one back... Just me?
Got ya wish today mate...
If we win next Saturday, and Wycombe or Stockport win, we'll get 4th
I think this result has put 3rd beyond us
we need to win seven nil and hope Stockport and Wycombe draw to get third. If either wins and we win, we get fourth.
I think I would prefer the first leg at home if we play Wycombe. We can potentially put the game to bed but if we cock up, we know we can win there. I certainly don't think the home/away order is as big a deal as some seem to believe.

The only advantage in being at home 2nd is if there is extra time and pens.
Our away form has been patchy this season. If we go away 1st leg & put in a performance like yesterday or at Peterborough then I doubt we could turn around a 2 or 3 goal deficit.
However, play 1st leg at home where we know we are unbeaten for months & I think we could go away & defend a 2 goal lead.
In any case, I'm just happy we are in the play offs because 4 months ago you'd be locked up for just suggesting it.
Home first or away first, what we need to do is win the round. All these superstitions are tosh i m o, don't rubbish yourselves into a depression. Just support the team whatever the outcomes.
Don’t think it matters that much where we finish as long as all our key players are available for the playoffs. For Burton rest TC, Small, Jones, Gillesphey, Edwards, Berry and Godden. Start some of the youngsters and the likes of Mitchell and give Ahadme a chance - obvious be great to win it but far more important to keep our key players fit and ready for playoffs.

Mmmm...now that ain't so daft as it looks, might be worth a punt.🙄

If Burton get a point tomorrow night v Wigan to ensure they are mathematically safe then maybe they'll put out their U18s against us.......
All down side for us , so what if we beat a minge of a club like orient I'm hardly gonna give it to them , if we lose the shit orient fans will give us though , although serves me right living the wrong side of the river

Stockport and Wycombe are minge clubs too, all of them are only going to bring 20k tops

Their safe anyway, unless we beat them 13-0 that is...🙄

i don't know any stockport or wycombe fans i reckon o's could have 25-30k there with the arsenal, spurs and west ham lingerers that watch them cos they struggle to get / afford their first teams tickets loads that my kids know fall in to this category
Fully expecting Wycombe and Stockport to play out a boring draw.
Unless we go crazy, a draw ensures they finish 3rd and 4th and both get home second legs. I really don't see either club pushing too much for a win.
If I were Wycombe / Stockport I'd want to win (1) because you'll play the 6th placed team who are on paper a slightly easier opponent and (2) to take some momentum into the playoffs / put a marker down in case the two teams meet again in the final.
Of course, if the game is level coming up to the end of the game I wouldn't be taking unnecessary risks to get the win.

Try going when we only have one powder puff shot on target, and lose 1-0 (last season).
Yes, the ground is crap but I’m surprised that would put anyone off going again.

Stockport away would be way tougher, I'm not sure I'd enjoy that away entrance in such a crucial game either.

But i agree it's in Wycombe's interests after 2 defeats without scoring, to at least get some form back to build confidence.
