Bradford are 299 for an adult, so not exactly giving them away like people are making out. Very cheap though, admittedly and I'd buy one today if we had the same pricing.

As mentioned Charlton would have over 12k empty home seats this season and are well known to give out a hell of a lot of comps because of it. (Wasn’t there a load of freebies sitting on a bar in a local pub somewhere a couple of seasons ago? )

What about all the empty seats in the parts of the ground that are never open? Millwall must be losing so much money from not selling these. I know these are in the away stand, but why build a stadium with seats that can't be sold?
They do allow some clubs to use the lower tier. Millwall’s highest gate this season was 18,385 v Sunderland. A home sell-out, plus 3,000 Sunderland fans. Which is still not all the seats, but there is some segregation at most grounds tbf. I think the top tier allows an allocation of 2,000 odd, with most bringing less than that. So not losing money as such, only for the likes of Leeds maybe, as they would bring 4,000, but are restricted to 2,000.

Is there any value would you think in offering something like the equivalent of a half season ticket but as more of a "credit" for the whole season that gets you a cheaper rate (but no reserved seat) so like eleven home games for the price of ten or something?

At least people can get a ST. At Liverpool there's people who've been on their waiting list for 25 years and they haven't even reopened the list to add new people since 2011.

It's not even an FAPL thing. Similar story at Man U in 1990. I know because the two guys who did the Valley Party posters were big authentic Man U fans. Easily ready and willing to buy seasons despite living in London. On a wait list for years. When we went up there in fancy dress for the final game, two days after the election, Dave made a point of going but he had more trouble getting a ticket than I did. Their capacity then was 47k if I recall right.
£299 in Bradford vs just renewed for £325 in London at a club in the league above. I don’t think the price of tickets is the main issue. It’s more that we have stagnated in League One and up until recently it’s been pretty dire to watch.
I agree over £600 for highest price ticket is crazy but no one has to pay that as there are plenty of other seats to choose from.
Simplifying to say £500 cap for most expensive season ticket and £25 per match ticket for anywhere in the ground might help but you’d like to think that someone at the club models these things to project revenue implications.

If they want a stadium that reflected their history they should fuck off back to the Isle of Dogs and build one there.
Funny enough, Millwall did look at being part of the regeneration of docklands London in the 1980s when looking at upgrading The Den, if I remember correctly.
