Would anyone have a bad word to say about him joining back up with Nathan Jones at Charlton?0
-
Part of probably the most prolific summer recruitment drive in our history. What’s his record been like since leaving us?0
-
I don't know. Was european scout for Brighton as they got promoted and then first successful years in prem, very short spell stoke, then luton where they reached championship playoffs twice successful second time around and then relegated twice.Difficult to say how much is due to the scouting.0

I think he was chief scout when we signed all those players before SCPs title winng season. Could be wrong though.paulsturgess said:

Seems to follow Jones around a bit, was here before, and worked at Brighton at the same time as Dr. Abbott.0
-
Seems like a no-brainer.

He was chief scout in summer 2011 (among other years) when we signed an almost entirely new squad in League One, many of who went to have good careers in the Championship and Premier League.paulsturgess said:

Odds on we sign a Luton player

Pelly Mpanzu has just been released by Luton.Covered End said:Odds on we sign a Luton player
Although he's not exactly stood out whilst on loan for Rotherham, and imagine we would have tried to sign him on loan in January if Jones truly wanted to link up with him again.0 -

I saw that and wondered if he might be an option as depth. Then I saw the Rotherham fans comments on Reddit and discounted it.1 -
Worth bumping his own thread - back as Head of Recruitment.

Another great addition to the set up. Welcome back Phil1 -
So someone got to the Chapple in time for the summer transfer window to open. Good.

Does this mean Lloyd Jones is injured for Sunday?15

Confirmed, along with the excellently named Calvin Charlton

I heard that Calvin actually changed his surname by deed poll in order to secure the roll when being interviewed

The candidate Marvin Milwall never stood a chanceElthamaddick said:I heard that Calvin actually changed his surname by deed poll in order to secure the roll when being interviewed 44 -
Interesting to have an assistant head of recruitment with extensive knowledge of Scottish football. Makes me think we'll try and target that again after the success of Josh Edwards.

in all seriousness - fantastic appointments, Phil has a proven track record, knows NJ and more importantly knows Charlton......what's not to like.
