So based on the video the only ‘problems’ referenced were the perimeter. No idea what that was

I guess the conclusion is the weather is to blame  for the pitch 😉🙂

On a separate note not sure I’ve seen Jon Blyth mentioned before. A new name to me.

Seemed odd to have the sprinklers on at the JS end at halftime. Thought we usually watered the end we were attacking.

Quite a few references to the pitch in the Huddersfield/Radio Leeds commentary......... bumpy patches, long grass in places, rutted, heavy....... it does need a bit of sorting, I guess in the close season.

Yeah, people keep saying the pitch looks better but from where we sit in the Curbs stand it looks terrible. Huge areas with virtually no grass, areas where the ball tolls as smoothly as on a ploughed field and does not take well to the sprinklers. Hopefully it is properly fixed in close season so it looks like best part of £1m has been spent on it

Pitch definitely played better yesterday, as the grass has thickened out a bit.

Looks better is not the same as  good or better than last season.

It just looked better than if has been looking. Sunshine helps the illusion.

Just to reiterate, given the need to give the pitch the very best chance to regenerate itself during the summer break one has to ask oneself why the fuck are they still (as far as I know that is), advertising its availability to rent for amateur games…..I know a few have already been booked.
Further more, like most of us, I know sweet FA about pitch regeneration but surely to god giving it as much of a chance to be at its best is what’s required and that means….KEEP OFF THE GRASS!!!

Just goes to show that throwing money at the problem doesn't get you a trophy!

We didn’t throw money at it. We used grants and an undisclosed sum.

Still not clear how much we truly invested versus normal annual costs.

They probably need to relay the sky after that shite yesterday.

Surely they’re doing it all wrong?
Once the season has ended you should cram as many corporate matches in for as long as you can, leaving the shortest window possible for the planned end of season maintenance programme.
Then during that programme, abandon it to play a pre-season friendly before the pitch is ready.

Wrexham took their pitch up the Monday after our game against them.
It seems to be the case, whatever you do to the pitch, do it as soon as the season ends.

Rangers won pitch of the year in Scotland, probably helped that they didn’t play on it for a good couple of months after the season had started, due to building works & them playing at Hampden.

My boys will be playing on the pitch on the 8th June as part of a Junior Addicks day. So that's 3.5 weeks after our last home fixture

We won’t be relaying it so shouldn’t be an issue. I think we’ll probably have less play on it than usual but it’s looking lots better already. Not sure Junior Addicks will be able to cause much damage to it unless your boys love a Roy Keane style tackle!

I have demanded full knee slides if they score any goals.
