They don’t want the Covered End to clap the players when they come out ?

Am I reading this right ? We have to hold a piece of paper instead when the players come out

A much better use of the cards surely would be to try and recreate the Argentinian confetti bomb when the players come out.

Not a problem with the initiative, just not sure the timings are right here - similarly the giant flag that will be traversing the West Lower at the same time. Both should be done and dusted immediately before the team comes out of the tunnel.

Is there a training course I can go on beforehand?

    Yes, we are having a run through this evening at 19.45;
Didn't you get the email 🤔

"IMPORTANT: Please ensure that when our popular 'This is The Valley' video begins to play on the stadium big screen, you are ready in your seat with tile in hand! The queue (sic) to lift your mosaic tile will be the ending of the 'This is The Valley' video - just in time for the players walking out."

If the normal matchday routine is in force the 'This Is The Valley' will have finished five minutes before the players emerge from the tunnel (one of my recurring bugbears about home matches).

Yes you are reading that right. This is all very tifo / Palace culture.

According to the email I got I’m in the West Lower even though I’m in the Covered Upper and got my ST seat. Had to check the ticket in my apple wallet to be sure!

Same here! Myself and Mr W both got west lower and covered end emails. We never got the email for our season ticket (covered end) tickets but simply downloaded to the wallet. Mr W is going to email the ticket office just to make sure there’s not been some mix up!

    That's nothing !

I've just received an email addressed to me personally starting " As you're sat(sic) in the West Stand Lower tomorrow...." . My season ticket seat & tomorrows is in the Curbs' Stand....

And what follows is instructions regarding unfurling & passing along a giant Charlton flag & passing it along towards the Tunnel.

How the feck does the club think those concerned ( IF the email reaches them) will remember these instructions after being in the Fan Zone/Crossbars for the past 4 hours and taking a few drams in that time ?

I wait with bated breath to see what those of us in the Curbs' Stand will be advised to do.....

" As the players exit the tunnel, stand on your seat , count to 3 & then leap off raising your arms above your head and shouting " CHARLTON"!

Cue the St John's Ambulance peeps rushing around to the East at the same that colleagues are trying to untangle a large number of fans from a flag in the West whilst trying to dodge  thousands of mosaic tiles which are being hurled onto the pitch .... :s

Meanwhile, the seven travelling Wycombe fans will each be holding up a postcard with one of the letters of Wycombe it.
Who else counted the number of letters in Wycombe to check…

This looks likely to dilute the atmosphere IMO.

Hang on ! How many Fannys are there at Charlton ?

I'm NOW being asked to help unfurl/pass along ANOTHER Charlton flag from my seat in the Curbs' Stand !

Now, I will admit to being a multi tasking person but look like I'm going to be running around like a headless chicken as ko approaches ...

Damned if they do, damned if they don’t. The mosaic last time out was very popular and lots of people online have asked for that and the return of the (unusable) Hales flag.

Yeah, I'm sat in three stands at once passing flags around, gonna be busy.

All getting a bit Palace for me, but I suppose people like it.

But then the team can’t see it, isn’t the point to show some support to the team? I get it stops clapping but it doesn’t stop singing

People always say we are the happy medium between Palace and Millwall.

So, howsabout we hold them up (very Palace) before screwing them up and throwing them at the Wycombe players (very Millwall)?

But you can't screw up a mosaic tile !

They'll be collected up after the match & sold to Topps Tiles.

An ingenious idea to help increase our transfer budget.

Given most of us can’t work out how to scan our tickets at the first attempt the ‘mosaic’ might have a unique look!

But all credit for doing stuff. It could be great.

Or maybe the flag and cards read "Kone and Leahy - Chuks is coming for you"
