I thought Palace had too many good players not to get up to mid table when they were 4th from Bottom. If a team concede 1 goal from 3rd round to final you have a strong base and are going to be hard to beat.

When the ref gave a penalty to even up the mistake that wasn't, as Mitchell definitely got a toe to the ball I knew certainly that was " God man" when the 500k a week Haaland handed the ball over and Henderson who was MOM for not getting a Red made another decent save. Sad that his Dad passed away earlier this year.

A house buying analogy:
It's like you've been trapped on a sink estate for years. You've wasted loads on money on rent and have had a succession of bad landlords, some of whom were trying to shaft you. You've just about got yourself in a position where with a bit of hard work and good fortune, you might just escape the estate and have a little bit of a housing upgrade; nothing fancy, just ordinary. Meanwhile an old acquaintance (they was the spotty twerp at school, and grew up to be quite a dislikable character) has, for years, been living above their means at the posh end of town. You really don't like them and in truth, they don't like you, but they're too snobby and too dishonest to admit that. Just as you are in a position where you might make a minor improvement to your lot, they come riding down the road in a top of the range motor waving their money about. And guess what, they've got themselves a time share on the continent too. Bastards.

For Newcastle to beat Liverpool in the League cup was good for the competition. For Palace to beat Man City in the FA cup was good for the Competition.

Agree. We can only hope some of the real big boys come for the likes of Eze and Guehi. If they get offered a move on much bigger money I still think they would go.

I think there better players will still move on anyway. Leicester won the Premier League and it still didn't stop there best players leaving.
Palace will still only ever be able to pay so much a week compared to what the elite teams will be able to offer them. Same with Glazner. If there best players have got moves lined up to Man City, Man Utd etc I don't see an FA Cup win changing that.
Don’t know why but wanted Palace to win hated schlepping over there for home games but like the fact it wasn’t Man City also have a good mate who is a Palace fan so pleased for him
