  • @brownbear hope you guys book your flights because at the moment you are the winners in terms of Miles I have Travelled...
  • What an amazing thread

You lot are so precious 😂.  I once did Jerusalem -> Tel Aviv -> Heathrow -> home -> Fratton -> home over about 28 hours for an AWAY league game.  Crawl out of the woodwork for Wembley…

    (seriously, well played and 🤞)
I have come to the Valley, when I was a season ticket holder, from both Delhi & Lima. On both occasions we lost 🙄🫣😩🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
  • Coming from Sweden. . Hopefully get my tickets sorted Tuesday afternoon.
  • @BalladMan Fantastic work. Thank you so much. Fascinating how you got ChatGPT to do it for you, too.

I am sure Tom Rubashow is going to love this.

Got one from Berlin to add in

Nice one.  I think we can probably embed it in a CAFC web page if they desire.

I find it fascinating and truly wonderful how much effort people are putting in to attend from around the world, even at the worst point in our history.

    Well done all.

At least when I rushed back we won! Sometimes I wonder why we bother 😀

Also flying in from Calgary with my eldest daughter (10), plus a drive down from Edmonton at the start. Making it a long weekend in London and planning some quality time with her to cushion the blow if we lose.

    Which airline/day you flying Oakster?
Wednesday evening Westjet to LHR - couple of days work & then meeting some of the old gang
    We’re on the same flight!
Pre-flight pint!! I have WestJet lounge tickets as well going spare

  • While I do reside in the UK we took a chance and have been on holiday through the playoffs, returning on the Saturday before the final. So we are flying in from Delhi on Saturday evening.
I hope you make the game and do not have the trots.

Ooh, that is tempting. I’ll have my 10 year old in tow but I’ll let you know how we are doing on the day.

One Auckland Addicks member (unfortunately not me) has booked his very long flight to the UK for the game.
Really, we can add him? Because he will probably be the Many Miles winner.

@The Prince-e-Paul which Swedish airport are you leaving from?
  • There really should be some kind of acknowledgement from the club for the furthest travelled imho.

    I'll guess at Copenhagen.

He’s flying out this week and staying for two weeks. Only booked his flight yesterday. Please add him, unless you have to fly back the following day for it to count.
  • Flying in from Perth, land Friday lunchtime and back for just under a week.
Flying in from Perth, Western Australia too. Landing on the Thursday! There for 8 days.
Here from Perth also, leave the day after the game.

  • Would be great to get South America and Africa continents covered if anyone knows people flying from there.

My French nephew is coming from Paris, having also come over for the semi-final. The Eurostar tickets are probably more expensive than some of the flights mentioned!
There are trains within the UK to Wembley that are more expensive than some of the flights !

    And take longer!

In ‘98, a number of us who’d travelled from afar met in the Oak a day or two before the match and Mike Stevens (I think?) gave us tickets for the immediate post-match players’ celebration in a TV studio near Wembley. Got to shake Super Clive’s hand and talk with a few of the team!
Oh yeah, I was also one of those lucky people. Pre-match too. What a great Board that was.

We were there as well, also got an invite back to the player's hotel for the after match meal. Got home about 3am and couldn't sleep with the adrenaline from the whole day.

No way. It's mainly for fun, and for making the club aware of the commitment of the Addicks abroad,  but I think the only conditions  are UK non-resident, and the final is the main thing that made you book the trip. Could be Eurostar or car too.
