  • I promoted this on my Blog and have one coming from Singapore, one from Upsalla in Sweden and a Shetland Islander, if that counts.

Brilliant, thank you @c@ChicagoAddick will add now
  • One from Lille, too.
    • Lille
    • Barbados
    • Upsalla
    • Singapore
    • Shetland
    • Phillipines
All added to the map.  Exceeded 200,000 miles now.

I think it might have been better to wait for Tom Rubashow to come back to me so that they could put it up first....but he has not yet done so, and i guess it's not something that needs to be an exclusive. But it will be a good nudge if I mail him with the carbon offset idea

@ChicagoAddick Shetlands must count as we already allowed the guy from Guernsey. We had to really, you could fly to Egypt for the price they were charging him.
  • @BalladMan I also forgot about my brother. Now living in Ibiza, so please add him too.
  • Lille must be Eurostar but we'll gloss over that I guess.

@BalladMan is the total tally currently just for the flight in? (thinking about pitching the carbon offset idea to Tom)

Lille is Eurostar, but we did say we would accept alternative forms for transport earlier in the thread.
The total is for flight in x number of passengers
  • Tom R. has now replied:  "I've passed it on  internally"

Which is probably a bit better than it sounds.

My other half and I are coming in from San Francisco, kinda a long route with a night in NYC in the middle because of flight availability, and have to go via LA on the way home. Certainly the furthest I've ever travelled for an away game or a long weekend!
Let me see if I can do layovers otherwise I will just add San Fran - Wembley

If I had two weeks in LA where would you recommend visiting, refer to holidays thread, cheers
  • Hypothetical: what happens if I have a mate coming in on Virgin Galactic?

You lot are so precious 😂.  I once did Jerusalem -> Tel Aviv -> Heathrow -> home -> Fratton -> home over about 28 hours for an AWAY league game.  Crawl out of the woodwork for Wembley…

    (seriously, well played and 🤞)
I have come to the Valley, when I was a season ticket holder, from both Delhi & Lima. On both occasions we lost 🙄🫣😩🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Slightly off topic, but I met a Canadian Spurs season ticket holder who commuted from Canadaevery game.
That's ridiculous. I guess only possible if you are a) loaded so you can afford the constant flights and b) own your own company so you can get leave whenever you want it.

He must hate his wife if he wants to watch that s*** every week.

Murcia International airport, Spain, over on 23rd, back on 26th. Booked flights a month ago!
    Confidence!!

    Coming by train?  Proper Charlton.

    - Bermuda updated to 5 travelling (seriously impressive turn out)
    - Murcia Added
    - Geneva Added
    - Updated lower info box to be smaller on mobile browsers

27 Countries now, totalling 218323 miles just to get to Wembley (all I know is Charlton's on their way... on the way, on the way)
  • So now not only am I gutted that I haven't yet managed to secure tickets for the match, I also don't qualify as travelling from abroad, even though I am foregoing 3 days of my holiday, to travel back from Alicante and then return to Spain.
I'm not sure if things can get worse, except I know they can if I continue to be unable to secure match tickets!

The Shetland Islands Addick told me he has an 750 mile journey each way, including a 12 hour ferry crossing!

Did that ferry a couple of times as a child, 12 hours on the North Sea 🤢🤢🤢.  I was once thrown out of my bed the waves were so big.  Definitely the winner!  More recent times I flew from City / Heathrow but it's bloody expensive.

No long trip for me for the final, but I did cut my Lisbon holiday short by a day which cost me £££ to make Wycombe away in the SF.
