Another wish, NOT rumour .. Angus Gunn, Norwich & Scotland goalkeeper, leaving Narge on contract expiry .. would solve our keeper problem (on high wages, BUT i m o would be well worth a big salary)

He's left and moved back up north. We were visiting friends 2 weeks ago in Norwich and randomly they were popping to a neighbours house to buy curtains as the fella was moving.... Bryan Gunn opened the door and finalised the deal lol
Thanks for the info, I suspected that he had a move lined up before letting his Norwich options run out .. but Bryan is his dad ? ..  were they very nice curtains ?
Yeah Bryan is his dad, curtains were fine.. friends seemed to like them as they made 3 trips while we were there and ended up with 9 pairs 😆.

Either that or they just wanted to see Bryan again.

RE: Galbraith... Was talking to my Orient supporting mate during the school run this afternoon.

He wont be Out of Contract this coming summer, as Orient have the option to extend his Contract by another year.

If we're interested in the first place that is

Semi Ajayi , John Swift and Grady Diangana released by West Brom. Ajayi has had 2 major hamstring injuries so probably not worth considering.

John Swift was quality circa 2020-2022 but must be getting on a bit now?

    He's only 29.

Surprised they have released Diangana though he has always looked very good, perhaps has a bigger move lined up.

Swift is one of those players that's actually been around for ages without being as old as you think. Hasn't put up the type of numbers he usually does this season and hasn't been a regular for West Brom but an interesting name for the attacking midfield mix.

    Hampshire lad so maybe Pompey?

yeah ol Bryan is a bit of a Norwich legend, I suspect he's staying put and just helping Angus clear and sell/rent his house

33, made 10 appearances last season across 2 clubs with no G/A and would command very high wages

He doesn't strike me as a very NJ type player. Nothing to do with his ability (which is abundant) but he is probably too much of a maverick to fit comfortably into a Jones system.

You'd be surprised just how much house you can get for relatively little money in Norwich !

I'd be disappointed if we sign anyone over 25. Time to gamble, unless owners have big investment plans.

I think he’d like his long passing range, but yeah mobility is obviously something NJ wants from his midfield 2 and shelvey is probably lacking in that department now

Bit of experience going into a very difficult Championship (we hope), will be handy!!

So that's Dijksteel, Ajayi and Shelvey so far on the former players who get suggested for the transfer window, unless I've missed some. I'm glad we're diversifying a bit, I was getting tired of seeing Fosu getting suggested at the start of every single rumours thread

Could Purrington do a job as a good squad player and cover for Edwards?

The very first post on this thread was about Brendan Wierdu and I am fairly sure I have mentioned Dillon Phillips is out of contract already!
    🤣

I believe he's been released by Exeter, so available for no fee!

Anyone think we'd be able to get Lookman if we go up? Maybe Gomez fancies a consistent run of games at centre back?

    PWR the previous 200 posts.

If we get promoted then our current back 4 are all good enough imo. We might be able to keep hold of Small but my guess is that he's already agreed a deal elsewhere. Will def need some back up though.

Midfield is still too lightweight & same-y. Still need a play-maker in the mould of Barry Bannon (but not him !). And so more wingers.

Up front is where we will need to strengthen the most. Godden is ok but apart from him we have very little else. Aneke is out of contract and hopefully home. Ahadme should be sold imo. Leaburn could be ok but his injury record is not good & I'd use him a back up only. Obviously Kanu & Mbick are too young & raw for the Championship & Hylton too old. So we probably need at least 2 new strikers & preferably 3.

    And a decent goalkeeper too.
