Most likely at that time of night it was drainage contractors who might have a Thames water bit of livery on their van especially if ita drain covers they were lifting. I think this is something that annoys just about everybody, except the 5% of people who are on this gravy train.

You are right, not unlike members of our political "class" they do not exist in the same world as the rest of us. And those same wankers on the board at Thames water, severn trent, all of the former national utility assets in fact. They will pop up at another one when enough shareholders get sick of them. Which takes some doing as the big ones have been getting fat on the dividends us mugs are giving them.
