Wembley tickets - 39k officially SOLD OUT (p109)

Putting cardboard cups next to the fountains would be sensible, but then they would probably want to sell them for £3:50 a pop.3

Doubt they will allow full bottles in, just in case it is really gin.2 -

Could you imagine if roles were reversed and some of our fans planned to buy on Friday only for the allocation to be reduced and they missed out.
It does not make sense, if sales are slowing then the sooner we get the allocation the less stressful for everyone, particularly as the guy who alluded to the admin required...
Madness. But then we are only football fans....
I have a purchase history from being a (lapsed) season ticket holder and was lucky enough to get a ticket when that window opened.
Some people I know with similar circumstances weren’t as lucky.
I just think being able to get 3 additional tickets for people without history is not fair when others with more Charlton connection miss out.
If I miss out today and more tickets dont become available I will be very frustrated and may change my view, but I also feel that fans with the huge loyalty point totals and fans with season tickets who go to every home game have earned the right to bring friends/family along for the big day out. I could potentially argue that it should be 2 tickets per fan ID / season ticket etc. (as this would have allowed me to get tickets by now!) but I can see the rationale to get the tickets sold as soon as possible, hopefully filling the stadium
Family stands should be for young kids too, not 15/16/17 year olds who are probably having a pint before the match 😆
If you were to do this you'd need to make it really clear and telegraph it 2 years in advance. So that people can set up accounts and build purchase history's for those people. There should also be a reminder with every purchase of multiple tickets to assign them to the right people or risk them not being able to attend big games.
I'm just not sure we are at the point of needing to restict sales like that (yet!).5 -

If orient sold all theirs (another 10k tomorrow, however unlikely) then surely there is close on 16,000 still up for grabs (less hospitality)??1

So you can take in a plastic bottle no more than 500ml. Just take a spare bottle top so when the one on the bottle is confiscated you have a back up. Job done.7

You can't take in food and drink?
The game is across lunchtime!
Are they going to confiscate your humble ham sandwich and home made granola bar?0 -

To no surprise, that is disgraceful.
Useful reminder for self preparation though. Large breakfast and beers in a London pub a fair distance from the ground
Probably limit to just 1 or 2 pints when at wembley.
I'll only bring disposable cash via max spend.

Enough to get lively and cause some right fkn carnage and get amongst it (aka sing VFR, the Tyreece Campbell chant with a lot of enthusiasm and avoid Hoover Attack)4 -

Depends where you go. I know pubs in London where it's still typically £4.50 for a pint.
The only high £7-8 rate I've experienced in London is Gatwick/Heathrow0 -
Currently 3 singles all along the touchline and low down in blocks 141-1430

I go to Wembley a fair few times a season. You can take in food which i normally do, meal deals from supermarket. Empty 500ml plastic bottles without lids, for free water refill you hide in your pocket. Job done.2

Should you suffer from a medical condition which requires you to carry medication and/or equipment with you in the event of an emergency, such as a diabetic who many require to carry insulin and needles, we will of course allow these items into the stadium, however we require the following actions / documentation to support your entry to the venue.
- Contact your doctor or health care professional to ensure you are fit to attend the event at Wembley Stadium connected by EE. This is strongly advised, Wembley Stadium connected by EE cannot provide medical advice to guests prior to an event.
- Please ensure your doctor or health care professional provides you with written confirmation to confirm your medical condition and the medication and/or equipment you require to bring to the stadium for your welfare in the event of a medical emergency. Please ensure you bring this letter with you as our stewarding teams will require sight of this letter to allow you entry to the stadium.
That is not easy to do. My wife carries two Adrenaline auto injectors (just in case one doesn't work or is not enough) for severe allergic and anaphylactic shock episodes. First prescribed in 2001, after a near death experience, she has never had any documentation, just endless repeat prescriptions since. Getting paperwork and letters from a GP is like trawling through treacle and they charge anything from £15- £50 plus per document. Her condition is largely self managed, the only time a health professional, other than a GP would get involved is during a A&E resuscitation admission. There is no paperwork, or letters confirming her medical condition, the fact that she carries auto adrenaline injectors is the explanation itself.

At non league finals day we were forced to take lids off disposable water bottles. But really depends which steward you get - some were super fussy, others don't give a shit.3

If you want to put pressure on the clowns at the EFL and Wembley to release more tickets, the best way is to go on Twitter and retweet this one from the Charlton Life Twitter account which has 7k followers. You could add a tag to Matt Slater at The Athletic (@mjshrimper) who is a Southend fan and has followed our recent dark days. Or Henry Winter (@henrywinter)

This sort of thing does work, but it needs people to retweet. Doesn't take long.7 -

This will eventually lead to an email conversation with a human. You should be ok from this point onwards - no need to antagonise with them, they're a very helpful team.
As a starting point, take a photo of said medication as evidence. Something with her name on, ideally. And say what you're saying on here.
You'll want to ask for an exemption for medication. Ask for an exemption to bring in a bigger bag, too, if having one on the day makes things easier. Ask for a food and drink exemption for the allergy.
Sounds like a ball ache to arrange but better have that now than any issues at the turnstile, or worrying about potential issues between now and then.
You'll end up with a certificate looking something like this, but with their name on it at the top. This is my boy's one, based on a food allergy need to bring own food (obvs), epipen (obvs) and that'll need a bigger bag than A4 to carry (obvs).
Hope this helps.6 -
Surely there can't be many left without a ticket?!0

Such a muck up from Wembley. Currently there's seats that are just going to waste that we could easily take up and likewise Orient could probably take a fair few if they were allowed to go to general sale. Hopefully there's an announcement soon7

Charlton and on said:Surely there can't be many left without a ticket?!I got 2 tickets in the lucky draw / video game seat ticket, supermarket sweep scramble extravangza yesterday. I was looking for 4 seats together but could only manage 2. I will definitely take up 2 more for family if any more tickets are released.I reckon if another 3,500 tickets were released, I reckon they would sell out quickly. Its not been an entertaining experience the whole thing. Wembley do ticketing all the time. Not sure why Wembley are not agreeing to release unsold blocks to maximise income that increases match atmosphere. The club are pressing for more, I am sure.4

I've been in both queues early and missed out both times. Need three seats together. Totally understand that others have more priority as I'm not a season ticket holder and due to work and distance, can only get to the occasional game. A bit frustrated that Wembley seem to be holding back tickets but will keep everything crossed for a positive announcement today.13
