2 of us coming from Cologne, Germany!
2 x travel from Cologne added to the map. Over 240k miles now.
Does the 240k include the return home trip (if calculating the co2 emissions)?
No.  The figure on the site is for travel to Wembley (as that's the intent of the exercise). @PragueAddick has advised the club of this and to x2 the miles if they are interested in carbon offset opportunities.
They haven't got back to me on that. Nor have they used it on social yet. Don't know whether I should nudge Tom any more, he's passed it on somewhere and probably working his nuts off.

If we post it up on Twitter ourselves does it show up as a graphic when we paste the page link into the Tweet?
Don't use twitter myself, so don't know.  What account would it be posted from?
I don't know the tech term for this but someone will. If on Twitter (and I think on FB and Linked In) you copy and paste a link from a news website, the tweet will usually display the image used in the article, and the headline. With our map, I just pasted it into the tweet and all that is seen is the link text. I know we had this issue when we created the Charlton Dossier, there needs to be some simple code fix. But I have no clue what.

    But maybe ChatGPT will know?
Well, you could just cheat and paste a screenshot of the site as an image on the tweet, like this: https://x.com/aliwibble/status/1925795492446761429

It means that if you click on the picture you just see an enlarged version, rather than it sending you to the site, but at least it's more visually interesting than just the link by itself.
@PragueAddick are you able to post from the Charlton life Twitter account?  Why not get it out there for others to enjoy.

No I am assume that is in the capable  hands of @AFKABartram, @aliwibble or other admin. But this way does the job. It would be great if it goes out from that account as it has 7k followers.
  • From Twitter, as a result of @aliwibble posting the map, another one.

Croatia, via Poland (i presume Warsaw). I've asked him if he can specify which Croatian airport. If he doesn't answer I'd put him down for Split, since I think Zagreb would have a direct flight.

I’ve reposted this on X but if others with X accounts can do the same, that would be helpful. When I first looked AliWibble only had 4 followers
  • - Added Croatia (via Poland).
    - Added twitter 'card' functionality so that preview image is displayed in tweet which can be clicked on and taken to site
  • Dan and his son travelling from Dublin

Neil and a mate travelling from Newtownards, County Down
  • Robert travelling back from Bangkok
  • Fantastic journey @Eirik Bakke 👏

  • It would be a great idea if a video could be produced with the WW2 ladies that moved troops and positions around using sticks on a table map or the intro to Dads Army. 🤓

  • I've got off the flight from Nantes on which I had a lengthy chat with Le Bris's brother, over with his father for today's match.
  • Sitting at my gate… we must all be mental

  • The low-costs do a job, but for me, when it really matters, I go BA. 1998, 2019, and today. And here she is, on time. Take me Home, Speedbird Zero Eight Three Six😀
    Is this another AI post?

    BA and on time?

    Cant be real.
Yeah well they don’t add an extra half hour to the typical flying time like O’Leary’s mob
  • I hope all the travellers have got tickets and have a wonderful (successful) day back in Blighty.

Honestly, never happens to me to any great extent. Today 15 late because-
    - held on taxiway att PRG for incoming flight with medical emergency
    - stacked for 10 mins becuse LHR changes landing runway
    - wait on tarmac while some other twat gets his plane out of our air bridge

otherwise I paid a reasonable price for Club, had a decent afternoon tea and a Bloody Mary to calm my nerves. Had the two seats to myself and it was close to perfect.
