Everything about Barry Hearn mantra is sell as many tickets as possible so this will have nothing to do with him (has not been involved with Orient other than owning the ground for about 8 years)
Surely the club can only communicate if there is something to communicate?
Or are people suggesting the club should issue a daily update that there is no update?
Given the fact its now Friday afternoon and the game is Sunday, it's more about comms from the club putting pressure on Wembley/EFL, even if there is no update
Nothing to lose from the club by putting public pressure on Wembley.
I am fairly certain the club are putting as much pressure as they can on Wembley to try to get more tickets.
You have more faith in that happening than I do.
I was told today, from a reliable source who would know, that we have asked at least three times since the last batch sold out yesterday but the EFL are not agreeing to our requests.
EFL: "Two VAR decisions to go Orient's way, because Charlton cant meekly comply with how we do things"

I go to Wembley a fair few times a season. You can take in food which i normally do, meal deals from supermarket. Empty 500ml plastic bottles without lids, for free water refill you hide in your pocket. Job done.

Can you meet people on the concourses who are in a different block?
Not entirely sure if you can walk the entire half of our allocation? Never tried but you can certainly walk big swathes of it.
I'm in 229 and have friends/family in 130, 131 & 132.

We're all together in 1998.
my group are all over the place as well - bring back the days of queuing round the block, at least you knew what you were getting
In hindsight ,I should've bought 4 adult tickets. I've got mine an. u17 and two u22s Spares popped up near where I'm sitting but with an adult and a child together but I really now need two adults!
God blast that day they went on sale! I wasn't thinking straight
So if this went off sale now for Orient, they’d probably want to close Block 518 for segregation purposes and the maximum put on sale to our fans would be Blocks 519 or 520 through to 525 or 526 I am guessing?
How many tickets is that? 6,000? 7,000?
Be a shambles if they are left unsold.
Not sure we would get them all - Orient would want to be able to put some on General Sale as well I would guess. Even half would do.
If any tickets in the Orient end went on general sale, they’d be snapped up by CAFC fans as soon as our general sale lot sold. I don’t think Orient will have a general sale for that reason.
No they wouldn't, you had to be a member/purchase history. So reports say.
If I had to take a wild guess, I suspect there won’t be any more tickets this late. I doubt Wembley would be able to get the extra staff in time now at this short notice.
Surely they’d have already planned for a capacity crowd? They’ve literally got a game the day before that’s sold out.
They are all agency staff, booked in advance. Charlton getting to the final is a bonus for them but if it had been any other two of the remaining three clubs in the playoffs you’d be looking at a 50k crowd. Had they pulled their fingers out the day after Charlton qualified for the final or two days later even when it was already clear the initial 37k was going to be inadequate they probably could have taken a punt on giving us another 5k taken out of Orients allocation and made that up to Orient later if required as the corporate/hospitality blocks started to free up.
I'd be surprised if we don't have another several thousand on sale by tomorrow morning.
Orient have stuck their Friday 5pm to end sales. Ours was Saturday 11am. The door is still ajar, although Henry suggests we may be out of luck. There'll be an announcement very soon, I am sure.

The club could and should say that they are communicating with Wembley and pressing for more blocks originally designated to Orient to be put on sale for Charlton fans. At least we’d know Charlton are trying to help.
Or they could even say " We're closer to communicating with Wembley re additional tickets than we were 24 hours ago."
I'd be surprised if we don't have another several thousand on sale by tomorrow morning.

Perhaps.
My feeling would be that the EFL were kicking back until Orient's 5pm deadline passed which is more than fair enough imo. It's in no-ones interest to have all those empty blocks when the demand is there.
On top of the ticket office closed to personal callers on either Tuesday or Wednesday this week, apparently calls were not being taken from 14.00 today. How many staff do we have working there?
I don't think it would be at all unreasonable to expect an update from the club. Depending on the actual facts, something like the following would be helpful in filling the information void:
" The club are acutely aware that there are very many Charlton fans still hoping to get a ticket. We continue to press Wembley/EFL and are hopeful that a decision will be made late this afternoon when Orient tickets go off sale. We are assured that any tickets purchased on Saturday will be emailed out same day, and fans are again reassured that tickets may be scanned from a mobile device or printed out. We will update further when we hear from the authorities."
Make that statement and people will assume tickets will be sold on Saturday and will be disappointed if they aren’t. You have to word any communications with the assumption that people won’t read the whole thing properly. IF you’re going to do comms (which isn’t hugely necessary until a final decision imo) then it needs to be short and sharp. “The club continue to ask the authorities for extra tickets due to high demand from Charlton fans. We will provide and update when we can.” or similar is all that would be needed

In which case issue comms saying we won’t know until after Friday PM if any more tickets can be made available.

Why? When they are working on getting them as soon as they can.
For those of you who expect constant updates, do you not think they would have updated us to tell us that there was no chance of any more tickets? Until you get that update, there is every chance more tickets are coming.

I'd be very anxious about it as well and frustrated. All Charlton, I hope everyone gets sorted.
I think they've severely underestimated the demand for this match, from both sets of fans.
