Underrated player IMO but right to not take him up a level. Will do well wherever he goes. Could see a Wimbledon return (if they’d take him after playing in MK).
Thought he did well for us this season, cruelly injured against Wrexham (just as Ramsay got his own injury) so never really got a run in the team until the end of the season, where he actually put in some solid displays you'd expect from a backup like him.
Wonder if we may have done better in November / December if he hadn't got injured at the same time as Ramsay as well, because until Small worked out the role that he's grown so used to, we were horribly unbalanced down that right hand side.
Played his part in both what was bad about last season and also what was good about this season. A mostly solid but unspectacular player. Should be able to get a gig at a top half League One side. Wish him the best, but also makes sense not to be carrying his wages into the Championship. Good luck Tennai.
Right move all round. Not a footballer I thought pulled up any trees for us but always worked and had his good days (among the bad, of course). Hope he goes on to a better mutual fit for him.
Wish him well, and he will get a contract for a lower league1 team or league 2 easily.
But I hope this is the last we see of this calibre of player. In the same category with Michael Hector, Terell Thomas, Alex Gilbey, Sam Lavelle etc. Nowhere near good enough to play for Charlton.
I think it's easy to forget because last season was overall so terrible but Tennai did well for us in 23/24. He was third overall for assists for Charlton behind only CBT and TC and level with Dobson (despite playing about 1000 fewer minutes) which is pretty impressive. He got unlucky with injury this season when his chance came up but when he got fit again he never let us down. Good signing for 2 years and good luck to him for the rest of his career.
I enjoyed seeing him come on as a substitute in the playoff games and immediately get into the game. If he can bring that intensity when starting games, he will excel at his next club.
He's been fine covering for Small, hopefully gets a decent gig for someone looking to challenge in L1. Overall he was solid player in his time here so wish him all the best
The most improved player at the club under the Nathan Jones effect but ultimately the right decision. Good luck to him, bound to get a new team somewhere.
Thought he was a key player in our survival in 2023/24 despite carrying an injury, and he helped us see out both the Wycombe and Orient play off games this year.
Spoke to him briefly outside Wembley post match and he came across as a really humble guy. Wish him well.

Gillesphey? TC? Coventry and Jones have made a lot of progress too.
I'm surprised so many posters rate him all of a sudden because I can't remember many posts like that over the years... Admittedly I might be misremembering. I think he's a pretty average L1 player myself - competent in some areas of his game, lacking in others and not really excelling anywhere.

I think his attitude and discipline in playing different roles (even LB, I vaguely remember) are being praised. In terms of quality, average, yes. But he also looked motivated and "part of the group," which is important.
Looking at the stat bank, his overall season rating was similar to Aneke, Leaburn, and Karoy. They all played a part in our promotion.
A steady eddie. I didn't ever worry about him coming on as sub or being in the starting line up. He is certainly no Small but he done a reasonable job on most occasions when called upon. Best of luck Tennai.

I was thinking more the immediate impact made at the end of the 23/24 season but fair point in the bigger picture.
Wish Tennai well. Before NJ arrived all I witnessed was the best passing backwards player I had ever seen - space to run into - no, pass it back to a CB. NJ changed that and in the last 6-8 games he was involved in he looked far more capable in being progressive. Will stand him in good stead and fair play to NJ for bringing him out of his regularity…
I think he changed his game a lot to fit into Jones style. Slotted in during cameos through the play-offs and kept us solid. Think he'll find a club easily enough.
Goes with my thanks, L1 his level but part of a promotion side. Worked hard on the pitch and never hid in games. Key when we needed a more defensive shape.
All the best Tennai and thanks for your obvious commitment and dedication I appreciated it. Personally would had been happy if the decision was made to offer you a new contract and wish you all the best in the future

His main fault, not being small or Ramsay...more a right sided Ben Purrington.

Good luck to him in the future .
