The way Verstappen, Redbull and tbf other drives treat him, just give him the excuses he needs to act the man-child he is. We've all seen other drivers call there peers out for horrendous driving, understandably a lot for the time, Stroll for example. I find it rather annoying and bizarre that the likes of Norris avoid doing so with Max.
Agree with pretty much everything said about Verstappen above, but haven’t seen if anyone here or on TV made any reference to what happened just before his ramming of Russell.
When he snapped the back end of the car out of that corner before he was on the team radio screaming he’d been “****** rammed” by LeClerc…who was nowhere near him. I didn’t hear Red Bull try to correct him and point out it was his own car that pinged and no one touched him. Just felt that this brought his red mist crashing down and led to the Russell incident.
He did make contact with Leclerc a few seconds after that snap just as he started going down the main straight. They banged into the side of each other briefly, and like the Russell incident a few moments later at T1 was deemed a racing incident.
Which to be fair was the correct decision... Not because it was Max, but no one really suffered from it.
@ForeverAddickted have you seen Freddie Slaters GB3 race from yesterday at Spa??? What a talent he is.
I've not seen it yet, but watched the first two rounds, worth viewing is it?
He's ridiculous in GB3, can understand why he's not done that Championship on a F/T basis as he's pretty much destroying the field, even when he's started from the back this weekend

Got to be F2 for him next year , don't really see the point in him doing F3 not as if budget is a problem and he can play the F1 teams off against each other.

Be an interesting one, and is by far the most exciting talent coming through the ladder at the moment, although have been impressed with Seb Wheldon in Italian F4 this season so far.
Don't forget that Slater is only 16, and wont be 17 until next August, so if he does F2 and flies through that level, he'll have to wait a year before entering F1, so might be a factor in him doing F3 next season.

He's 17 in two months time.
Leave me alone, its Monday and its early in the morning!!
Seb Wheldon is Dan’s son - who of course died in Las Vegas 14 years ago. Whilst Freddie Slater raced with my son, I raced against Dan in karting for 5 years or so as a kid. Was in touch with him and his wife Suzy right up until he died.
Suz was desperate for Seb not to go racing but from what I understand the kid is totally driven to do it for his Dad. I can’t imagine what it must be like for her to watch her boy competing in the sport that took her husband from her

Yeah its that connection to Dan Wheldon that has made me pay attention to Seb's progress now that he's in cars... His younger Brother Oliver is over in USF Juniors (need to catch up with that series), and will be surprised if he doesnt follow Seb over to Europe.
Like you say, must be torture for their Mum in a way

I'll absolutely laugh my tits off if Max loses out on the WDC by 9 points or less this season, ie the difference between 5th and 10th in this race.

Ridiculous... That's the nail in the coffin if anyone questions how much of a talent he is!!
He's in bloody P4 in the Championship, despite missing the last round and starting from the back of the Grid in Saturdays races - The other Drivers are going to be relieved to see the back of him for the next two rounds, but if they squabble for victories, its going to play into Slater's hands when he returns for Brands Hatch and Monza
