Wilks doesn't seem to leave Yorkshire, so Bradford next for him then?

Was Rich Cawley hinting we may go for Begovich again now Everton have released him ?

Maybe L1 was too big a step down for him.
Or Sinisalo, who hasn’t played much for Celtic?
They also still have Scott Bain as cover. Maybe they would consider loaning him.
Bain left Celtic last week and signed a one year deal with Falkirk after their promotion.

Sinisalo got a good few games in at the end of the season and did well when Schmeichel was injured. With Kaspar now 38 I think Sinisalo will get his chance soon enough.

Yeah, but look on the positive side @Chizz he can’t get any older as he died in March last year 🤷🏻‍♂️🤦🏻‍♂️😉

Not the Top 20 Podcast is doing a weekly EFL transfers round up. No mention of CAFC yet but worthwhile a listen as a lot of strengthening of sides is happening so should act as a good comparator when we see our signings start to emerge.

Had hoped we would see one or two through the door before the 10th so keeping fingers crossed

We barely spent much in today’s market place last season and got promoted. I’m not complaining! The extra tv revenue will probably go on wages and I’m sure we’ll have the lowest transfer budget in the league but in Jones we trust.
There is also a significant reduction in player wage costs from January onwards. A lot of posters were complaining about a squad of 18 being relied upon to mount a challenge and succeed with a squad that small, not knocking that but we managed it nonetheless. There has been further departures, notably, Chuks, and Watson, but the wage demands from players in this division and the premier are a huge jump so I don't see us relying solely on that market.

Pete O'Rourke saying Santos (ex Bolton) going to Swansea.

Interesting as many on here thought he was in decline but he may be stepping up a division.

Worth a punt on a free, it’s possible things just got a bit stale at Bolton and he needed a change

Thought he looked a real busted flush this season. Maybe a decent squad/back up option for someone like Swansea though

Are we signing anyone for the 10th June deadline or are we waiting it out till the actual summer one starts?
Why get in early. We all know the bargains happen late in the window.

Myself I would wait until January if I'm honest.....🤭.
    Haha, Golfie. Very good.
You can barely wait for tomorrow 😜

I think Swansea have been on the slow slide for a while. Wouldn’t be surprised to see them struggle next season.

As much as I love these discussions - I think our business will be done subtly and will surprise us  like last summer.  Not sure there will be many rumours going around.  Wouldn't be shocked if we sign championship / premiership / foreign players rather than the league one players we've been mentioning and know of
    Yes, I agree.

Now that we've won promotion despite looking like mid-table no hopers before Christmas 🤶....... no one at the club will want an instant relegation.

I expect certain positions to be significantly strengthened, to supplement the key players who earned promotion.
Other 1st team starters may become squad players.

I'm and bit confused (more so than normal). Is the current transfer window for the next few days just for the premiership to sign players for the world club championship? or can any club join in?.

Any club can, the reality is it won’t make much difference

Especially seeing we can still sign players between windows but cant play them. I don’t understand that but seeing 95% of clubs in this country won’t be playing a competitive game now until august

Oh, good, a former player too.

I liked him when he was here but hasn't he had a lot of injuries?

Think that makes a lot of sense. Championship experience and competition for Gillesphey. Hopefully should settle quickly having been here before. Still at a good age too that he should be entering his prime years

Famewo was also at Luton the same time as Nathan Jones, so he would be familiar with him already too.

Haven’t seen him play since he left us but I wouldn’t be against that as ex players go, would be good competition for Gillesphey

Do we really want all our diagonal punts flying into the front row of the stand?
NJ’s coaching will sort that out.

Has had a few injuries but good solid competition for Gillesphey, don't really mind this at all on a free.

Really hope we don’t go back for Famewo, not an improvement in what we already have

I was initially against it but Sheffield Wednesday fans seem to rate him and upset at the prospect of losing him especially to little old Charlton (god I love being the underdog again) - has his injury issues though.

Famewo = no thanks. Injury prone and not that great.
