Played for Charlton. And awarded a Champions League winners medal.

Go on, name them all. (I'm including the European Cup). There's at least six I can think of.

I'll start...

Bob Bolder.

(Had to edit my guess, thanks to two sisters already!)

  • Colin Walsh would have been on Forest’s books for both of theirs. Did he play?

No, he didn't play, he did travel with the squad, days of only one sub.
  • Katie Chapman.
  • Bowyer reached semi final.

Was going to guess John Barnes but Liverpool didn't win it throughout the 10 years he was there.

Di canio won equivalent of europa Cup for Juventus 30 odd years ago.

Struggling to think of anyone else apart from those already mentioned.

  • Danny Murphy?

Or did he jump ship to us before Liverpool beat AC Milan
  • Wonder if we have any Champions League winner namesakes

    Daniel Kanu - Nwankwo Kanu

Yep. Left before that. And spent the rest of his career sulking about it.

Maatsen?  They lost, that's not a winner's medal.

Then delete the ones from that list that don’t have a winners medal then

Simonsen only managed a runners up medal, in the loss against Liverpool in 77
  • Quite surprised Souleymane Diawara never managed to get his hands on one.

Alou Diarra too in that regard.

I remember a Palace mate of mine saying when Dowie defected to us.  After a prolonged and thoughtful pause, he scratched his chin,  looked at me, and said.  '"Hmm, Yes. The problem with him is that he'll spend big money on rubbish". The rest is history we've yet to recover from.
