Terrible mindset. That 2 million could push their transfer budget and make them competitive.
Never quite sure if you're on a wind up or not?

    Quick poll.

If you have bought a ST for the 25/26 season did you opt for:

    A  Physical ticket

    B  Electronic ticket

I get this a lot in person as well.

In this case I'm taking the piss. There was discussion that more expensive season tickets will possibly help fund out transfer budget.

Physical - not really sure why, as I use the Apple wallet for everything else.

Maybe I was a little scarred by QR codes on our e-tickets for the Wycombe semi-final being cancelled by the nincompoop outfit to whom the club delegated the ticketing. That surely couldn’t happen with season tickets, although having to queue up at the ticket office for physical tickets was no fun on the night.

My granddaughter, aged 6, has been asked to provide proof of age to check her eligibility for an under 12 ticket.
Apparently, a copy of her driving licence will suffice.
I was unable to buy a ticket for her on my account so I had to set an account up in her name.
I do understand the need to check eligibility for a concession ticket but all seems a bit OTT to me for an under 12 ticket.
I have emailed the club to question this.

I presume the club also said a birth certificate, passport or something else a 12 year old would actually possess would suffice? Not sure how the club could fulfill the “need to check eligibility for a concession ticket” which is based solely on the age of the ticket holder without checking the age of the ticket holder?

I wouldn’t be too hard mate, at the end of the day someone is doing their job and checking that  Someone isn’t buying the cheapest entry ticket incorrectly. It does happen. Laugh it off and provide the evidence, you won’t have to again for future years.

Wasn’t adults buying kids tickets a pretty big issue a few years ago? It’s certainly been mentioned before

Literally anyone could apply for a child's ST for a cheap adult seat in the family stand, some kind of proof upon purchasing is to be expected surely.

I appreciate all the replies but I still think it's too early to require a 6 year old to open their own account in their own name without an appropriate adult being named on the account as well.

Very very very easy for someone from Bayern Munich to say that, where the whole Bundersliga is set up to serve them

All it proves, though, is that you have access to a relevant ID. There is no mechanism to verify that the correct child attends or that any child attends - and the club recognises this is an issue in relation to evening games. I’m not saying the club could or should do anything else, just that it’s a token exercise.

Each fan needs a con number, nobody is demanding that the 6 year old does the admin, just asking for proof of age. A 6 year old can't attend without an adult, but with its own con number is eligible for all the other perks such as 4 tickets to Wembley and away games allocation.

Saw on twitter today that Southend are charging up to £420 for their season tickets for another season in the national league

Season ticket holders, what do you do for the home games that you cannot attend? Is there a resale to the club, or do you assign the ticket to a friend or family member (if they're interested), or just let the ticket go? I''ll be getting a season ticket but know that I can't attend 5-10 games due to work/holidays.

If true that’s very expensive and really hard to expect many to stump up that sum.

There is no resale to the club, just family/friend or no one options.

My son can't always attend due to work and other friends miss a few games due to holidays etc every season.

We just let other fans use the tickets if there is interest.

    We don't bother the club.
  • We’ve an unwritten arrangement with other ST holders we know to make our/their tickets available if not being used if someone can’t make it to the game and the ticket can be used. It’s resulted in at least one new ST holder and multiple matchday tickets home and away purchased by several people in recent seasons that immediately come to mind.

I've had the email for proof of age that I'm now officially an old codger. I've been a ST holder on and off since 1975

When do the loyalty points show on your account from a season ticket purchase? Is it on a match by match basis, or will it appear in one lump soon?

Probably after the 1st home game I'd have thought, they can process them all in one go then.
