The BBC's left wing bias is annoying, but the lack of commercials regulates the other channels. Like others have said, you only have to switch on American TV to see how bad it can be.
There used to be a semblance if credibility to this argument but now it's just laughable. Since Boris Johnsons overhaul of the board where he appointed 11 of the 14 who all have connections to the tory party either as major donors, as "arrangers" for senior tories or have held positions in the tory party. Similarly the Director General appointed by Boris is a tory donor. The political editor is a self proclaimed "Boris Johnsons Biggest Fan" and has a history of sharing interview questions in advance with those in the hard right of the tory party but refusing to do so for others whether in other parties or more traditional one nation Tories like David Gauke.
Given the above to still hold the view that the BBC is left wing says more about your politics than it does the bbc.
Reference point is key here. If your comparison is billionaire owned media in the UK or US then it will clearly appear to the left of those (that does not make it left wing, more reflects the ridiculous overton window in the UK). If you compare to the press in other countries outside of the UK/US bubble you will see much more balance.
Also, how many times has Farage from the National Front been on Question Time in recent years with minimal MPs, compared to the Libs or Greens?
Farage gets loads of coverage because he will say something, chucking red meat out to both sides because he is ultimately not responsible for anything he says. He can say he is going to abolish income tax for all it matters, he isn't going to be in a position to ever do that. Besides he is full of shit, the moment he was challenged and came up with a few policies he showed he was no different to the rest of them
Caroline Lucas also gets a disproportionate amount of screen time but thats just my subjective opinion, I really like her mad as a back of rabbits but ask anyone in Hove what they think about her and whether they love her or hate her she was always across everything happening in Hove.
Anyway things that annoy me, talking politicians on a thread

I’ve never seen talking politicians on a thread mate, when was that?

All well and good saying that, but Question Time is usually one on the right, one in the centre, and 4 on the left.

It is. But doesn’t need to be. It should be representative of what people have actually voted for.

I'll have one from the top, two from the middle, and 3 from the bottom please Carol
PA systems that don't work properly. I mean, they are bloomin' everywhere - football grounds, airports, coach stations, railway stations, on trains, planes and buses. How often do you have a PA where it's either too quiet or unintelligible? We live in a world of unbelieveable technological advances, but those involved still don't seem to be able to produce a system that can be clearly heard over the general hubub of said space.

I don't watch it, but last week had two lefties, two righties and a Welsh nationalist (as it was broadcast from Wales).
Week before, two lefties, two righties and a centre.
Week before that three righties and two lefties (if you count the editor of The Economist as righty and Hashi Mohammed as a Lefty).
I hate them and I AM one. But I hate younger people more. With their smooth skin, sunny outlook, zest for life, good health, fitness, energy, enthusiasm and mastery of things I'll never understand. Wankers.
Actually, it doesn’t just annoy me, it boils my piss.
Well frankly it's that generations fault for the conditions the poor youngsters have to live in today. They f*cked their kids futures with their lack of appreciation of their impact on climate, and their economic incompetence which means many young professionals now have to work at least 5 days a week and can't afford to get on the housing ladder. I'm not surprised young degree educated professionals are looking to leave this country in their droves.
Oh, and they smell of piss (the old people, not the young degree educated professionals).
I took one of the hens to the vet today. I try and keep her away from other animals but some people with dogs find it hilarious that their dog tries to sniff the hen and then they say something about the dog enjoying chicken etc etc. Oh I hadn't heard that one before.
The hen - Peggy - has to have regular checks as she had an accident when a commercial egg-laying chook on some machinery. I like to tell them in graphic detail how her foot was nectrotic and came off when we washed it. Also how the vet sawed her leg off further up and made a flap of skin to cover the stump. Most go a shade of green and sit somewhere else with their dog. Peggy beats fucking Fido's owner in bravery all day long. Wankers.
Actually, it doesn’t just annoy me, it boils my piss.
Can’t say I’ve noticed a sudden hatred of old people? What reasons do these people have for hating them?
Pensioners, so over 67 Smudge.
It seems a fair amount of folk don’t think they’re entitled to be warm in winter.
Honestly, it’s sickening how some treat old folk.
If I can provide a counter point. The current generation of pensioners are the richest cohort of people in our countries history. 29% of them are millionaires higher than any other age group or any cohort in the past, they hold over half of the housing wealth in this country and nearly 60% of all wealth. Many of them are excessively rich.
Means testing was the right decision, a universal benefit forbthat cohort is clearly wrong. The threshold set for that means testing was the wrong decision.
I do not hate pensioners (though one of my grandmothers is pretty hard to like).
Either way this whole thing is simply a wedge issue designed to stop us talking about how the mega rich and large corporations are screwing us all.

And when we go, who will be happy that we worked hard all our life and manage to save a nest egg for our old age ... our children who are supposed to be the richest generation when we are gone

He’s gone. We’ve had time to grieve. Move on.

I think we can all agree most people over 62 smell a bit
