I need to chop up a couple of large wooden structures so I can take the wood to the dump. I can do it by hand but it will take ages so I'm wondering if anybody within easy travelling distance of SE26 has a circular saw or similar I can borrow?
Too far away to bring it to you I'm afraid but I'd say for demolition-style work, a reciprocating saw would be the better option. (You can get a cheapo one from Screwfix for £35.) Certainly better than doing it with a hand saw.

I’d second this. A reciprocating saw is your best option and relatively cheap.

This being the case he needs a circular saw or a jigsaw, he does not want a reciprocation saw
