Woolwich v Spurs 22nd Nov, Spurs v Woolwich 21st Feb.
Best thing I've just discovered is the huge gap in Spurs fixtures at end of March and beginning of April, when I'm away for my 50th! :)
(I'm assuming its an international break with an fa cup round tagged on the end!)

Fans have been warned by the Premier League that fixtures could be moved at "relatively short notice" next season because of the number of teams playing in Europe.

A record nine top-flight clubs have qualified for Uefa competitions in the 2025-26 campaign.

The Premier League said there is an "increased likelihood" that games will be rescheduled if English teams reach the latter stages, and it suggested fans take this into consideration when planning their attendance at games.

No PL fixtures at all on Boxing Day...!
    Unless selected by Sky

‘In keeping with our commitment to providing a greater rest period over the Christmas and New Year period, no club will be requested to play less than 48 hours between Match Rounds 18 and 19 (December 27 and December 30)

‘Matches in Round 18 (December 27) are available for movement to Boxing Day for live broadcast selection.'

    Hoping this is PL only

I assume the EFL will play on Boxing Day (Friday) as per usual.

"Chelsea winger Mykhailo Mudryk has been charged by the Football Association with violating its anti-doping rules after failing a drugs test and could now face up to a four-year ban. He was provisionally suspended by the FA in December after an "adverse finding in a routine urine test. Players found to have intentionally taken a prohibited substance can be banned for up to four years under the guidelines of world football's governing body, Fifa."

This guy has to go down as one of the worst PL signings of all time. Cost about 70m, scored 5 league goals in 2 years and then got banned.

PFA Young Player of the Year nominees announced.

Liam Delap, Myles Lewis-Skelly, Milos Kerkez, Dean Huijsen, Ethan Nwaneri, and Morgan Rogers.

Personally think it should be Rogers, he had a phenomenal season with a lot of goals and assists.

Weird that they're only being announced now when the PL season ended a month ago.

More yellow cards than goals in his time, that's some going for a winger

Contracted til 2031 so even with a full 2 year ban he's got another 4 years under contract with Chelsea afterwards!

And people thought Ahadme's contract was bad

Is there anyone at Chelsea who doesn't have a few years left on their contract?

I read the other day they have 25 players contracted to at least 2029.

Since Boehly took over they have given 22 players a contract of SEVEN years or more.

Saw this online just now, crazy prices.

Man Utd match day ticket prices for next season:

    Cup games: £32 - £52
    Cat C: £37 - £60 (2 x PL fixtures)
    Cat B: £57 - £86 (11 x PL fixtures)
    Cat A: £59 - £97 (6 x PL fixtures)

So for the majority of their league games, the cheapest ticket in the stadium will be
    £57.

Closer to Manchester, so they probably presume it'll instantly attract more interest.

I'm surprised its not the likes of Bournemouth, or Fulham

Sunderland haven't been in the Premier League for a while now, so surely a visit to Old Trafford would be popular

Oooh, what do you mean we've signed a new CB...

    https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/articles/cy4ymvd9pjeo

    Oh...

Not quite the £70m for Guehi that we allegedly bid for in January FFS.
Thomas Frank is going to have his work cut out working with Levy.

I wonder if Frank will get sacked as Spurs manager for winning only two trophies in one season, lol.

Chelsea look to have sealed deals to sign Gittens from Dortmund and Joao Pedro from Brighton.

Not sure if the exact number is true but i saw someone post that when they sign it'll take their senior squad numbers up to 51.

How many attacking players do they need that basically play the same role? I know obviously Mudryk is going to be banned long term but I don't get the Gittens signing and João Pedro feels like signing someone so Newcastle can't.

Gittens is effectively the replacement for Mudryk. But i agree i can't see why they're signing Joao Pedro.

In attacking/wide areas they now have on their books - Palmer, Gittens, Joao Pedro, Pedro Neto, Nkunku, Madueke, Estevao, George, Joao Felix, Kellyman, Mudryk, Sterling, Delap, Jackson, Guiu, Broja, Fofana.

    SEVENTEEN players for 4 positions.

This summer they could sell 10 players and loan 10 players and the squad left over would still be too big. Madness.

They’re reaching the point now where players want to move on/they want to move players on but they’re hampered by the massive contracts.

I’ve seen stories about Nkunku, Madueke, Felix, Sterling, Guiu and Broja all moving on but why would anyone match the wages and contract length?

I'd expect Kellyman,Guiu and Fofana being loaned out. I don't know with the rest of them if they will get much interest that they might want to sell.
